My DH and I are going to Florida next month without the kiddos to celebrate our anniversary. I went to book today (for several reasons I had to wait till now) and the two resorts we wanted( Port Orleans) were both booked solid. We now have to try to choose between CBR and CSR. We really want a nice romantic getaway so which would you choose and why. Give the pros and cons of each if possible! Thanks

DEFINITELY CSR. DW and I are staying here for her 30th b-day and after extensive research, we chose it over the CBR because it is MUCH quieter! You'll need a relaxing, adult-oriented resort at the end of a frantic day around kids in the parks. The CSR will be just the ticket. Enjoy!

Although I never stayed at CSR, I really liked CBR b/c I love the tropical feel
and I found the grounds to be very pretty. The buses weren't great but I don't know how to compare them to CSR. I found the CBR rooms to be very quiet.
Have a great time!:thumbsup2

CSR! Very relaxing and romantic, there is an adults only dance club at CSR, rooms are all newly renovated (although I'd opt for a king room, the other rooms have two queens at CSR instead of two doubles at CBR), large hot tub, grounds are gorgeous for walking around. It is DH's favorite resort! :lovestruc

Just switched from POP to CSR.. considered CBR but CSR just seemed a better fit for DH & I. It's our 'interim' vacation to hold us over until our 20th anniversary trip to Mexico this fall & thought CSR would give us a taste of what's to come!

The newly refurbished rooms at CSR really are nice. The whole resort is a little more Adult orientated to me. If it is just you and no kids, CSR gets my vote.

Next time when we go with our boys though, the Pirates rooms at CBR look too cool to pass up.

Ask for one of the Cabana rooms they are the ones with the beach and Hammocks in front. We stayed at 8A which is close to the pools.

You have to ask or they might stick you elsewhere.

CSR for sure! we had great luck with buses there, the lake/pond is so nice, pepper market is a flexible dining place, and RIX lounge is unique. oh, and the pool area is nice and marina offers boat rentals. all in all, CSR gets my vote!

I can't compare them, having never stayed at CBR, but CSR is a convention resort, and had more adults on property than most of the resorts we've stayed at. It still had the trademark Disney service, and Disney feel, though. It's very romantic at night.

Oh, and there's the lagoon-side bar.

Another vote for CSR. The queen beds are a nice feature, and you may be lucky and get one of the remodeled rooms. The remodeled rooms look nicer then some of the deluxes; especially the bedding. The only downside is they only have 1 sink whereas the CBR has two sinks.

We absolutely love the CBR. So much so that we've stayed there three years in a row. The resort buildings and landscaping are so pretty. Each village has their own bus stop, quiet pool, laundry facilities and white sandy beach complete with hammocks and beach chairs.

Old Port Royale has a nice food court with plenty of selections to choose from. You can eat your meal in the food court or take it out to one of the umbrella tables. At night, you can see the higher Epcot fireworks from many of the beaches and from Old Port Royale.

If you want a quiet spot that feels as if you are all by yourself, head over to the island in the middle of the lake. There, you'll find pathways, benches, hammocks and picnic tables. Very pretty!

You can pay extra for a room with a king bed, you certainly aren't limited to two double beds.

If you want to see pics of the resort, just let me know and I'll post them.

Definitely CSR. I have stayed at all four moderates and I can honestly say CBR is the only WDW I'd never return to.
