3 years ago when I first started to explore the possibility of going to DisneyWorld, I found the dis and started reading trip reports. One of the first reports I read was one by Nebo. He had me laughing and crying so hard that the family would run in to check on me and make sure I was ok.
Over the past few years I've read several of his reports about the adventures of him and his wife Smidgy and I've come to think of them as friends. His reports are among my favorite all time dis trip reports, so if you haven't read them you should check them out!
Anyhoo, about a month ago I found out that they were going to DW at the same time as me! AFter a few email exchanges and a little change to my schedule, which actually works a little better for me, we are going to meet them at the Biergarten for lunch! I'm soooo excited! I've tried to contain my excitment so I don't scare them away.
In other news............I always wanted to be an anchorwoman........as I was cooking dinner last night, I manged to slip on a perfectly dry floor. On my way down I bounced like a rubber ball between the wall and cupboard, landing in a heap on top of the piddle pad. Thanks to my dogs fear of water and anything that moves, we have to keep a piddle pad for just in case. Of course, it was soaking wet and hadn't been changed by the child who's job it was to do so.
So, I'm now propped up in bed on a heating pad with a list of injuries.........my back, a couple ribs, 3 toes, 1 pinky finger, one bruised ear lobe, strained neck and a bruised shoulder blade. It takes an immense talent to sustain such injuries in such a mundane sort of way. I feel like I was clobbered....................I guess I now know what my mom's threat of "if you don't stop that I'll clobber you" would have felt like.
