please no pictures of half eaten food

I'd like to add that people should refrain from photos of food on paper plates.

Do people really think that the food presented in the World isn't worthy of fine china?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I must say that I sort of agree about the half-eaten food looking unappetizing. But Brenda survived my mushroom-laden food porn, so I'm keeping those pics in! ;)

does ALMOST eaten food count as half eaten?

The K-Man would have nothing to do with the applesauce!

Are Mister Disney and the K-Man in violation of the photo requests?

A few other requests:

- See to it that the protein/meat portion of the plate faces 6:00, the veg at 10:00 and the starch at 2:00. Try to select items with complementing colors.

- Get your dressings/sauces on the side so they don't obscure any of the items.

- Wipe any drips and remove any morsels danging over the edge of the plate.

- Please use the proper ISO/speed, avoid flash, and use the macro zoom on your camera. A tripod is useful to prevent jiggles and blurring in tight shots.

- Please do not allow your guests to stand in or near the shot, especially with wide eyed "yum yum" looks on their faces. I want to imagine that the food belongs to me, and is not about to be consumed by a total stranger.

That is all. :rotfl2:

Geez, if you're going to feed Kevin baby food, why didn't you expect he'd make that typical "yuck face" babies make when they don't like their food?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Edit to add: But I feel really sorry for the poor schlub in the background who inadvertently got into the shot.

YES...a poster (in that thread) showed the pic of someone's mouth and it was purple....yeah I wasn't expecting that either! :scared1:

I think we should just stop posting food pics all together because it just makes me hungry.

And while we're at it, no more pictures of the parks either because it just makes me long to be there.

Excuse me while I go look for a piece of cake now.

ACTUALLY, our experience was it did NOT turn your tongue colors....

here is a clip from our Easter Sunday Pop Century Food Court review from 2006......

For Dessert...yes dessert.....doesn't EVERYONE have dessert with breakfast?!?!?

We decided to try the POP's tie-died cheesecake

POP10.JPG

Lets just say it is NOT NY Style Cheesecake!

the bottom layer, which appears marroon in the picture is actually cake. In my mind, it is a strange combination for someone who is used to "crumb" bases to cheesecakes. Kevin and I had a lengthy discussion about the various colored layers of cheese cake and final ruling is that they do NOT have individual flavors. When we were tasting them, we thought maybe they did, but it was obvious that it was our minds playing tricks on us and we hadn't even been drinking yet! :drinking1 :drinking1

Overall? I didn't really care for it. I definitely didn't like the cake as the base, and the cheescake part of it, just wasn't creamy like I enjoy it. The cheescake part of it had a grainy texture.

Also, I expected the foodcoloring to change our tongue color, and it didn't! I was disappointed in that! I was expecting this to be a "kid" friendly sort of thing...and kids LOVE to have their tongues colored!

For each and every one of the posts on this thread.
Thanks for laughs people!!!

At the risk of being controversial, I sometimes think the half eaten pics are more useful. They give me a much better idea of what the food is really like, rather than how pretty it can look when presented.

For example, a cake that has been sliced into tells you a lot more than a pristine whole cake. A burger that's had a bite taken out shows you the texture of the burger and how the fillings look.

But hey, each to their own I guess!

Man I am hungry now! :rotfl:

I KNEW I remembered that - I thought you proved that it did NOT turn your tongue colors!! :rotfl:

and thanks to your reviews, we skipped the Pop cheesecake!!! :goodvibes

well Im a picky eaters so no pics of chicken or anything with a sauce..if it was cooked in the oven I dunno I may not like to see those pictures either! Actually I love all food porn. If you have a problem with half eaten food there is a drink and cake thread all those avoid the half eaten trend :) That may help :)

Is it half eaten or half left? Can we get pics of the water glass as well?

I just tried to lick the screen (again) at that Dole Whip photo. I asked that you not post things of that nature because it causes me to assault my computer screen and then my co-workers think that I've lost it. See what you did?

:) :)

That would be similar to the question about is a glass of water half empty or half full.

Half eaten / half empty - pessimism

Half left / half full - optimism

I prefer to think of it that the food is half left, which means there is more to share with the food porn lovers here on the DIS!

Sorry, I dont like half eaten food pictures either. I am not going to stop looking at the food pictures for that reason, but I scroll past those pretty fast. It grosses me out.

So, while I am not telling anyone what to post or not to post - I will agree with the OP in saying I dont care for it either.

This is one of the funniest threads I've read in a long time! Too bad the OP didn't mean for it to be! :rotfl2:

You guys rock! :thumbsup2
