I'm taking care of an 88 year old woman, who uses a motor scooter. We think it needs a new battery. Can anyone tell us if we can purchase a battery ourselves and replace it? Or do we have to have the company pick it up and take it to the shop?
The information that I have from the booklet is that it takes (2) 12V deep-cycle Standard batteries....then it says - compatable batteries 12AH.
She owns this scooter, is not renting it. Money is an issue...and she feels like if we give it back to the company, they will charge an exhorbent fee. She had to have a cable fix a year or so ago...and they charged her so much. And they also charged her for pick up and delivery...then she also had to keep calling them to remind them that they had it...and she was without it for about 3 weeks.
I appreciate any help you can give us...thank you. Barb
