And I just can't hide it...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!!!!

You did forget to mention that we were also the "Family of the Day" at Epcot that day! We got to ride a driveable Test Track car from the queing area to Test Track and be the first to ride it for the day. We were given the picture from the ride. We were then taken to Mission Space and were walked onto the ride with no waiting, AT ALL. And then we were given a special fastpass to ride Soarin'.
Wow that sounds absolutely amazing!!!!!

I say go the whole hog and wear all 3 bags together :rotfl2:

Ahh, that brings me back to the days when DS was still in diapers and a stroller. I think I packed on 20 pounds of muscle on that trip. I was carrying EVERYTHING!!

DW fell at the hotel room and twisted her knee on one trip. She had to spend the last couple of days there in a wheelchair. I'm sure it was hilarious for everyone else watching me push her in the wheelchair while she pushed DS in the stroller!:lmao:

I got to carry all the bags and push "the train"! I'm sure this trip will go better!

Thanks!

Thursday - May 31st - AK - 9am to 8pm. Flame Tree BBQ for early lunch.

Friday - June 1st (last full day) - Either MK or Epcot (depending on crowds and such). Evening ADR for WCC (we can take the boat if we go to MK).

Saturday - June 2nd - sleep in - go swimming - shop - airport -fly home (boo!)

See you at Epcot on June 1! We are only going to be there 2 nites and 3 days, a little treat for DH after visiting the inlaws. MGM on Thu and Epcot on the 1st and boohoo on the 2nd for us. Our flight is at 6:40 that evening so we should have plenty of time at DTD or just to monorail around and look at the resorts (one of my fav activities).

Melissa (originally from Nashville, so howdy!)

Wow that first bag in one BIG fanny pack. That opens up the can of worms for so many funny jokes, but I'll behave ;)

Make sure to wear your lime green!! We will be bugging everyone with lime green (I feel sorry for the poor non-DISsers who wear it to the parks not realizing that people like me are going to treat them like family when they have no idea what we are talking about!)

In-Law trip (shuddering:scared: ) and your only giving him 3 days.:sad2: What has happened to the world?

(Disclaimer: anything I say about my in-laws may be subject to sarcasm and thinly veiled innuendo)

Good luck on the trip and hope to see you there!

There was a time when my fanny would have fit IN the other pack, but now I am subject the the larger fanny.....................................pack.

Thanks for the restraint. I'm having enough trouble with the gray hair!

The Epcot one is very similar to the Baggalini packs that everyone over on the theme parks and attractions board is talking about. I vote for that one.

And the college BP? It is PINK folks. PINK. When we got married he said it was RED. So now I finally talked him out of that but now he says it is PURPLE. heehee

I bought you a new present from my disney movie club today. But it isn't a movie. you are gonna like it. ;-)

I stand solidly behind PURPLE!!!!!
(or a manly pink!;) )

Thank you for the gift. I can't wait to see it!

Cath...we were about where you are when we got our luggage airline tags. Then, about 4 or 5 days after that we got our final confirmation paperwork!!!

I know if you go through AAA then it takes a few more days...so be watching!!!! :thumbsup2

Should be very soon!!! I'm so excited for you! There is nothing that can compare (at home) to getting your paperwork in!

Good Luck!

Well, we have our luggage tags, our flight information, our ME documents. We have the days planned out and our ADRs made. We have picked out fanny packs and backpacks. We have gone shopping for DS so that he doesn't outgrow his clothes WHILE we are at WDW. Now it is time for the shirt making! My DW found out about the tie-dye Mickey shirts and wanted to try making one.

Here is the result!

I didn't think it was bad at all. I told her she did a great job, but I don't think she is convinced as of yet! Go on and tell her it looks fine!

I was also trying to think of ways to save money at WDW and I came up with a great flight cost saver!!!

Think it will work?:confused3

More later........

I commend you for your creativity in trying to find new and inventive ways to save money, but I'm afraid when you check your luggage at the airport you will be over your weight limit. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Unless you already said you weren't flying and I forgot, in which case the joke's on me. :lmao:

If I don't make it back to post again before I leave on my own fabulous WDW trip I just wanted to wish you a happy and magical vacation. Be sure to stop and say hello if you happen to see us wandering around. :goodvibes

The shirt came out great! I have seen several of those...and that is one of the best ones I've seen! Good job!

The shirt is very cute, I'd wear it.

Wow you got all ur stuff, lucky you. Do they give you 2 luggage tags for each person traveling? Cause I was wondering how ME knows how to get all your bags.

:rotfl2: Love the pic of your son stuffed into the suitcase. I hope DH doesn't ever see that, he would really do it! ;)

I was reading right along, sympathizing with your losses, and then I saw you're from so close by! My husband and I live just west of Paducah, KY, in the Heath community. I actually graduated from Murray State University in 2001.

We're driving down to Disney on May 29, and start our touring at EPCOT May 30, then Universal May 31 and Magic Kingdom June 1. Finishing up on June 2 with a trip to Kennedy Space Center before heading home. Like you, ours is a trip born out of a desperate need to "escape." My grandmother, whom we helped care for, died Aug. 4. My uncle, who was very much a father figure to me, died unexpectedly April 1 at the age of 63. Another rather strange coincidence ... We inherited a dog from my grandmother. His name? Buddy! He's a cocker spaniel mix. We're not sure how old he is, but the vet records go back to 1992. A neighbor found him abandoned, full-grown, in a wildlife management area, so who knows how old he really is. We've been a little worried about what to do with him while we're taking our trip, but just lately my aunt and a friend have volunteered to take turns coming over daily to feed him and give him his medicine -- one pill for arthritis and two for heart failure.

We'll be eagerly waiting for more updates to your report.

Hi Disney Dad Fanatic! I am a little late jumping in here, but I'm so enjoying your pre-trip report!!

Your year certainly has been hard. We are also dog people, in fact my baby Maggie, now 14 1/2 years old, a Cocker Spaniel we adopted from the Humane Society when she was barely 6 weeks old is referred to as my "firstborn!" It's so hard losing our pets. I always felt like pets were God's way of reminding us to be more gentle, be more patient, and love unconditionally.

You look so familiar to me for some reason. We live in Northern Kentucky, used to live in Louisville. I read your wife's comment about you bieng a youth pastor, I think that's the connection I'm recognizing. Have you all been to Aldersgate? Maybe at a conference somewhere, I don't know, but it's going to drive me nuts until I figure it out.

Gotta run, but I'm really enjoying your TR so far!! Can't wait to read more!

Aw shucks- you guys made my day with the shirt comments!:thanks:

It actually looks better in the picture than in person.

We still have to figure out accomodations for our dogs too. I vote for boarding them but Roy doesn't want to do that because Baby is so old. He found a dog sitter but we don't know him and I hate to have a stranger in my house. We have asked several college/high school students but either they are too irresponsible or don't want to do it. (Go figure - we pay really well and I would have jumped on that opportunity when I was that age - easy money!)
