Please make sure you cancel

I want to cancel an ADR that I made online, but when I put in the confirmation # and my cell phone # (the only number I have), I get: "we are unable to retrieve your reservation. You may continue to make your dining reservations, contact your travel agent, or call 407-WDW-DINE for assistance."

This happens will all of my confirmation numbers. Anyone know why?
I have the same problem. It either does that or routes me directly to the login - which doesn't work. User support hasn't managed to sort that out for me. It worked fine for me until a few days ago but now it doesn't work. :confused3

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney's website design is making it difficult for people to get some reservations at the times they want. Even for people who want to cancel, the site is buggy. Wouldn't it make sense for Disney to include a button for canceling the reservation in the email confirmations they send when you book the ADR?

I am not personally a fan of double booking, and would prefer if people cancel reservations once they know they aren't going to use/need them. However, I found this thread interesting. It's another take on why the restaurants aren't jam packed right now. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2279491

I see it as proof that Disney works in mysterious ways :rotfl:

I cancelled several reservations today on-line without any issues. I found it pretty easy to do.

I must be a moron because I can't figure out how to cancel my reservation at Tutto now that I've made a reservation at 1900 Park Fare. Granted IPO at Poly made all my original ressies and then I decided we'd rather eat at 1900 Park Fare.

Can someone explain to the moron here how to do it? :rotfl::rotfl:

Nevermind, the moron just figured it out. All these little tabs to click on. I'm honestly pretty computer savvy. I'm just not a huge fan of the Disney websites because I think they're a pain and can be confusing.

The same thing happened to me until I spoke with Technical support.

I kept entering my hotel reservation number and then my home telephone number.

I was told I had to individually enter my reservation confirmation numbers one by one and telephone number.

The other thing I did wrong...
After I made a reservation there was a question "What phone number will you be using while on vacation" Well I entered my Cell Number.

So if you also did this now all of your reservations are linked to another number.

Hope this is not too confusing.

Mary

Thank you so much. I kept using my hotel reservation number and could not figure out why things did not work. Now I have just successfully added our anniversary celebration to our Artist Point ADR.

Just in case anyone else has this issue...my dining reservations were linked to my old home phone number (2 homes ago!). I have changed this number with Disney at least 37 times, apparently to no avail. This is NOT the number that my resort reservation is under nor is it the number that I gave to Disney in order to contact me. I'm just lucky my husband remembered this number.

This is/was my experience too.
