My heart goes out to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I wish I could personally go and help the people in need right now, but I know it isn't possible. What hurts most is that we live in such a great country and there is this feeling of helplessness. For whatever reason help has been delayed, I just never expected this, I'm sure many others didn't also.
I made a donation to the Red Cross because they need money. These people are going to need lots of help, food, shelter, etc. And I know that many have already donated but if you have not yet PLEASE do. Every little bit helps even if it is a 1.00 to help those less fortunate.
I just want to say I can't personally respond to everyone's posts on here, but if you are a victim of this tragedy - you are in my thoughts and my heart goes out to you. Don't give up and hang in there.
