Hmmm, this was an interesting find over on WS - a poster noticed that back in April Ricardo Morales (ex-boyfriend) added this picture to his facebook entry:

Wow. What is this? I mean, it looks like a magazine ad, but obviously it's not.
What is it for, are "kids" using chloroform for something now? You know like when they discovered "huffing" from aerosol cans. Is it some weird sex thing we've never heard of? (as the picture might imply)

I really think the chloroform in the car was from trying to clean the trunk. The FBI said "signifigant" amounts. If Casey were using chloroform to make Caylee sleep so she could party, I wouldn't think there would be significant amounts, but if you are a cop's daughter (or a cop yourself) you would know
any old cleaner you could buy at the grocery store would be good enough, but maybe as a cop's daughter (or a cop yourself) you would know chloroform is a potent stain remover/cleaning agent.

OK, but I'm wondering how long they'll wait before charging her. 2 more days? Another week? A month? How long do they let someone they believe is a murder be free??

In this case I expect several things to happen before they make an arrest. First, they will wait till every bit of forensic evidence is back from the lab. They'll wait for confirmatory tests for all evidences that are strong enough to have this testing performed.

They will also wait till Tim Miller's team does 1 of 2 things. They either find Caylee's remains, or they search everywhere they believe she could be without finding anything. IMO, they will not move forward till they are satisfied that they've done everything they can do.

They most certainly don't want to risk trying Casey only to turn up more evidence down the road. It could involve double jeopardy (depending on what point the evidence might be found) and they do NOT want to do anything to risk that.

In Florida, it's been said that going forward with the charges of neglect of a child could constitute double jeopardy to later try her for murder (I'm sure some of the same evidence would be brought forward to prove both of these cases). The opinions on this are as varying as those willing to give an opinion. I'd bet my last dollar that they'd have their most seasoned prosecutors on this case, thus ensuring it probably wouldn't be an issue, but, I expect charges of murder will be filed before that case would ever go to trial. It's my guess that at that point, child neglect charges will be dropped in lieu of murder charges.

I agree and it makes sense. thank you. I wish these bail companies would stay out of making a name for their companies for the sake of caylee.

Well, I'm not so sure they're doing it to make a name for themselves. I've heard movie and book deals go along with this. As with everything else, I'd imagine they're in it for the almighty dollar.

IMO, we need to refuse to watch and/or purchase this type of crap to send a clear message that we're repulsed by all of it.

Very interesting read...........thanks

well its good advertising business for these bail companies. so yes, they are making a name for their companies. That is probably why they are coming up for bond for this thing called Casey. Its not the parents who are coming up with the money.

I pray and hope people will not watch any movie or buy books to support these people!!!

Well, if she was using it as a cleaner, we'd have to buy that she murdered Casey and ran out and researched chloroform, then immediately made the purchase to cover up what she'd done. This just doesn't make sense as it would have been more practical to run to the grocery store for something quicker. Or we could believe, that it was all planned and she bought it ahead of time to clean up after she killed her daughter.

IMO, Casey never went thru that type of planning. She had a month to get a story together and in a month, couldn't come up with any type of believable story.

I do think it's possible that Casey used it on Caylee to get her to sleep whenever she wanted to party. Amy said in her statement to police, that Casey would bring her to parties and put her to sleep on the sofa. She went on to state, Caylee would sleep thru ANYTHING.

I'm really curious about the searches Casey ran. I spent 5 minutes researching chloroform and found that studies say, it caused cancer in rats/mice. It made the male's sperm of rats/mice deformed. With prolonged use it could cause MANY major medical problems AND, if given in too high a dose, or if it was being breathed in for too long a period of time, it could cause instant death.

That is aggravated child abuse and in the state of Florida, that is considered murder. And, since the child was under 12, it opens the door for the death penalty.

I agree, but now with the ex-boyfriend's My Space page, maybe Casey had access to chloroform for some other reason and in researching how to clean up blood or stains, whatever, came across the information that chloroform is also used a cleaning/stain removal agent. As far as I know there isn't a way to tell when the chloroform got in the trunk...the day Caylee disappeared, or a week later. Casey had that car for a month after Caylee disappeared, she had a month to try whatever she could to get rid of any stain, smell, fluids or whatever.

How many police officers did Casey "date"? There was Jessie Grund (I am going to assume that was him on 20/20 and the guy that got fired for having a "relationship" with her...how many others? just saying that GA was not the only one with a police officer's level of knowledge of DNA evidence.

I have no idea how he would know this, but LP just said on Geraldo that he thinks they are going to be looking under that new concrete patio slab in the Anthony's back yard sometime next week, maybe by Tuesday.

I hear Jose Baez' wife accompanied him to the Anthony's house upon Casey's most recent release. Hmmmmm.... do you think it was the brownies? I bet Casey's sexy party pics didn't help either. ;)

Ok, I don't know why I posted that, maybe to just lighten my mood a bit because this whole case has me on a roller coaster of emotions when I think about little Caylee.

I heard the TES dog searchers said the search would go a lot easier if the Anthony's did not refuse to give the searchers an item of Caylee's for the dogs to track. Unbelievable! Despite that, Tim Miller thinks they are getting close to finding Caylee. Everyone but the Anthony's will be happy about that.

I know I am behind and I do not get much info except from what i read on this thread and occasionally on tv(I am up north) but they REFUSED to giveTES a piece of clothing to help search? Is this true? How do you know b/c IMHO that is beyond belief. If they wanted to keep up the facade they should have at least done that.

I'm still going by the theory that the chloroform was for drug purposes, it was obtained through the ex bf and was being carted around in the trunk. Her ex probably couldn't get it anymore since he was no longer employed by the PD so she researched how to buy online. The reports don't say how long the choloroform was in the car. It could've been in there for months. It doesn't make sense to kill someone with that since it only knocks them out for a little while and bleach would be just as effective in cleaning up a "mess".

I think this is likely the case. Casey was using the chloroform to knock Caylee out while she did other things. I think it just went to far and killed her. I don't think she ment to kill her but if she called the police, she would have to tell them that she'd been drugging the kid.

But this leads me to wonder who else might have been around when she died. Someone else had to have known that she was knocking her out.

By all accounts TonE L has been quite cooperative with police but it wouldn't shock me to learn he knows what happened to Caylee. He did get out of town shortly after she went missing.

How many police officers did Casey "date"? There was Jessie Grund.

Jessie Grund resigned from the police as soon as the case broke. Tony R was fired after they found out he was lying about his relationship with Casey. So 2...Jessie and Tony R were also acquaintances (if not friends).

I have no idea how he would know this, but LP just said on Geraldo that he thinks they are going to be looking under that new concrete patio slab in the Anthony's back yard sometime next week, maybe by Tuesday.

FINALLY!!!!!

Yes it is true. The Anthony's are refusing to assist TES (after they called them to come) because Tim Miller said that he believes that Caylee is dead. She has said that TES and Tim Miller misrepresented why they came to Orlando and are only in it for the publicity.

It doesn't make sense to kill someone with that since it only knocks them out for a little while and bleach would be just as effective in cleaning up a "mess".

This is where the "accident" theory comes into play. I don't think the murder was premeditated. Chloroform can just knock someone out for a little while BUT it is nearly impossible to dose and an overdose can easily kill.

It is quite easy to buy chloroform online (as NG's producer did) so I don't think she'd need a police source to get it.

It wouldn't shock me at all if Casey was involved in heavier drugs than just smoking weed on occasion. I know she was stealing but she didn't steal enough to finance herself for 2 years. Of course she didn't have many expenses. I can't imagine she was paying anything to George and Cindy. Since the nanny was fake, she wasn't paying her.

I dont' know about this chloroform as a cleaner deal. I did alot of searches and never found anything that said chloroform could be used as a cleaner. Only that it is a regent and a solvent-meaning an agent to dissolve other things in, not as a cleaning solvent. It also stated it was considered an environmental hazard. I think she had the chloroform to knock Caylee out or to use to make Meth, not for cleaning.

You do make good points. She didn't have the vehicle for a month though. It was dropped off at Amscot on June 27th and towed to the impound on June 30th. Still plenty of time for her to accomplish anything she wanted to before getting rid of it.

It's hard to say. Casey seemed to really go thru the money at Target stores, eh? Let's not forget how talented Casey is. She was able to take that check her grandma had given her for her Bday and clear out grandma's checking account (for her grandfather's care) with the routing number on the check.

I'd heard that Cindy had borrow against her retirement plan to cover the money that Casey had stole. Could that have been what the big argument was about on Father's Day weekend?

I wonder if we'll ever find out how much she stole from her own grandparents. If the Anthonys have their way, I'd imagine that will never come to light.

It should be identified on some of those 400+ docs I think.....I never thought to notice though!

what if Casey used chroform to make caylee sleep at maybe her boyfriends place or car while she partied all night and caylee may have had a fatal dose and she Casey frieked and made her dissapear maybe under the new concrete at their house or used the shovel she borrowed from neighbors to bury her somewhere. She never told granma and grandpa but after she did tell the truth to granma, they are supporting her to the fullest because she probably told them it was an accident and they believed her no matter what since she is their daughter. Yes, they must have yelled and screamed at her but in the end it was their daughter and no matter what, they did not want 2 family members gone. The only thing I have a hard time believeing is that Casey showed no emotion and continued to party after the incident.:confused3

-----------------------

A very prominent man in my old neighborhood accidentally killed his wife with cholorform during a messy divorce.. He snuck into her bedroom (there were some sort of papers he was looking for) and held a choloform soaked rag to her face while she was sleeping so that she wouldn't wake up and find him in the house.. (There was a restraining order in place..) So - yes - cholorform can most certainly kill someone..

Wish I knew where that beautiful little girl was.. :(

Anything is possible. I can believe that it could have been an accidental OD of the chloroform, but to use it is also aggravated child abuse. Aggravated child abuse in the state of Florida is considered murder.

I do agree with you that the grandparents probably know. Cindy has already made the statement of, "I already lost one child, I don't want to lose another." She'd later go on to say that she was speaking about Lee and the possibility that he'd get into an automobile accident with the way reporters were following him. I never bought it. She knows Caylee is dead, and she's doing all she can to make sure Casey isn't charged with her murder.
