Please list 3 things that made your cruise great!

1. The Disney ships - second to none- DH and I have sailed the "Magic" twice and the "Wonder" once. We decided the next time we sail, we don't care about the itinerary - we're going to visit the beautiful ship!!!

2. The enthusiam of the crew - from the Captain down to everyone else. They improve even the most perfect moments with their wonderful attitudes.

3. Castaway Cay - it's the best destination as far as we are concerned.

4. I know you said three but I just have to include the size of the staterooms and the number of verandahs - We love to sit out on the verandah until the wee hours. I love to wake up in the middle of the night and visit the verandah - it's so hard to leave!!!

I believe if we won the lottery, we would book every cruise and sail over an over again!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Your replies are "Magical!"

I did notice that I originally asked for "3" positives and most of you posted many more than that!!!! :) :) :)

Karen

We were on the Magic:

1. Marco from Palo
2. Rainforest in the spa
3. Seeing all the live ocean animals..swimming along side the ship

1. The excellent servers. That's all my kids still talk about!

2. That Disney Horn

3. The beauty and grandeur of the ship. (puts all others to
shame)

4. Castaway Cay

Our family agrees, it was our best vacation ever.

o, yes, NO CASINO.that is just great.DCL is something different than the rest of it.think about it.DCL cost more because there is no casino to collect profit.we shoud all stop complaining about the price, because when you go to a different cruise line you also spend money in the casino,so it is almost even, right?

1. My Husband and Daughter
2. Mickey Mouse
3. Captain Nauticas St. John Snorkling excursion. :D

The best things:

*family oriented
*makes you feel like a kid again
*the way everyone gets involved in the shows, sailing parties, etc
*the food
*the servers--especially the fact that they travel with you
*the way our servers treated our son--he always wanted to know where they would be at lunch and breakfast and insisted on going there and getting them if we could
*the shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*no casino
*the service
*the cleanliness
*the beauty of the ship
*how the staff made me feel as if I was the only person on board when it came to helping me out
*Castaway Cay
*the horn
*the kids clubs

the entertainent

the magical Disney feeling

never hearing my teen say he was bored!!!

Note, these are not in any particular order:

1. Having the kids in a separate room

2. Dis Friends

3. Our Servers, Liam and Beatta, and Jeff the headwaiter

1) God giving us the health, family and means to be able to cruise or take any vacation.

2) Being able to also cruise with our friends and DIS friends

3) Three Words...VACATION! VACATION! VACATION!

OK I kept it down to 3.

The smiles on my children's face when they get onboard "the Mickey boat"!

Enjoying the beauty of the ship.

No cooking or cleaning for 7 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) on our first cruise, after booking Palo and the spa we ended up on Deck 4 above the atrium. Mickey Mouse was standing up there waving down to everyone entering the ship. DS ran up, threw his arms around him and I got the best picture. It was like a personal "magical" welcome aboard. What a way to start the cruise

2) Having friends and their children join us on the second cruise. A DCL cruise is something to treasure, reflect on after the fact and laugh about the good times. Having friends that were there to do that with is priceless

3) Cheating a little: the souffle, the stingrays, the tropical party, the midnight dessert, the desserts every single night, the filet at Palo, the service everywhere, the drinks at the adult pool, the rockin n rollin ship and people weaving down the hallways, the shows, the Friday kid's show, Castaway, the couple's cabana massage, the surial bath, the absolute facial/massage, the Rainforest room, running on the treadmill watching the crew below, shopping in St. Maarten, my new tanzanite jewelry (heehee), a private daysail in St. John, towel animals on your bed, fabulous, wonderful, amazing formal portraits of my family, the sound of the horn, the feeling of being at a port and walking back to "our" ship and seeing the other tourists feeling jealous, the early mornings on Deck 9 & 10 with just a few folks about, chatting in the laundry room with strangers, DIS meets in Palo's private room, the crab at Palo and the seafood lunch buffet, more activities to do than we could get to, the wine-tasting, the galley tour, premEARing Brother Bear, the character breakfast, Deck 7 aft, Deck 4 for walking and lounging, and so on...

I love this thread!!

1. Being with my family!

2. The look on my kids faces when they finally figured out what their surprise was.

3. Sitting on my verandah at night in my jammies.:o

Also, the food, DESSERTS!, shows, beautiful ship, and that wonderful horn..... pretty much everything!!

1) being with my family
2)Castaway Cay
3) Room 6122
4) sleeping out on the veranda

but do wish that our WHOLE family was there. :(

1~ Castaway Cay...simply gorgeous!

2~ Our room stewerd was incredible! He knew we liked to fix drinks in our room, and he brought us fresh ice every few hours. We would leave around the same times and when we would come back we always had fresh ice waiting for us! ALWAYS!!! He
Made the funniest towel animals for our turn downs, and always asked about our DD by HER NAME (she was always in the clubs.) He was very special.

3~Creme Brulee cheesecake from Parrot Cay. The best dessert I have ever eaten.

Oh...and one more! The spa! It was such a relaxing massage!

Thanks for this thread!!! We are cruising in a week and all the negative comments were beginning to depress me. I know that the cruise will not be perfect but you all have cheered me up!!!
