Hi all,

As I have recently said on these boards, me and my family are off to Disneyland Paris ..... tomorrow! The trip has been carefully planned with help from you all, and we are all very excited!

However, disaster has struck and my eldest son has got a severe ear infection :sad1: - we took him to the docs and she said if it still hurts tomorrow he can't fly  - he has some antibiotics to take.

His little brother is very upset at the possibility of not going to see Mickey, we should be able to rebook it all under insurance if necessary but we don't want to if we can help it.

Please keep your fingers crossed that he is better tomorrow!!!

Thanks,
Em xx

Oh dear!:sad2:

I really hope he is feeling better tomorrow and it all goes according to plan.

I have everything crossed.

And some more thanks to Tinknme and Leanne! :thanks: :thanks:

Hopefully with all this pixie dust and crossed fingers he will be well enough to go :yay:

If I don't post here tomorrow you can assume it all worked and we managed to go after all!

:goodvibes

*still very stressed about it all*

Oh I have everything crossed for you that your sons ear is better by tomorrow.

Tracy xx

The antibiotics will kick in fast, he should be fine. Best of luck!

What rotten luck

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: that the antibiotics will work and you all enjoy the trip.

DS used to suffer a lot with ear infections. Our Dr. recommended steam inhalations to ease the pain (along with the anti-biotics). We used to fill a bowl with boiling water and make a tent over his head with a bath towel - we had to be very careful with the hot water, but it did give him some relief.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you all.

Sending pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: to you.

Hope your DS feels better soon and that you get to go tomorrow. :grouphug:

Sending lots of:grouphug: :grouphug:

If you do manage to go I would recommend your son using travel earplugs. My DD uses them as she has real problems with flying but they seem to do the trick. Your sons ears may still be a bit tender and these may help. I got mone in Boots but have seen them in Tesco. Failing that I am sure the airport shop will stock.

Good luck

 Hope the antibiotics do there job quickly and you all have a wonderful trip!

:thanks: Angela :thanks: Elaine and :thanks: Raci !

:thanks: Libby, good idea, hadn't thought of that, will give it a try :)

:thanks: Jackie, also an excellent idea, we will stop en-route to the airport (assuming we go!) and get some.

Thanks to all of you, I feel much more positive now :yay:

Very, very late but I do hope DS is on the road to recovery with the help of the antibiotics and that you're able to go ahead with your trip. Sending a little Disney magic :wizard:
