I am an only child and only have 1 child as well. My parents were divorced when I was young and I am lucky that I am close to both my parents. Anyway, the last few times we went to Disney I have asked my Dad to come with us and he always said no...this year, he almost died and I asked him again and told him that we have all discovered that life is too short and it is important that he spend time with us in one of our favorite places. My son is so excited that grampa said he would think about it...Keep your fingers crossed for us for a great big YES!!!

Hi we went in 2003 and it was me dh,dd,ds,dmom,ddad and we had the best time and the sad thing is that we also invited my inlaws and they declined and now regret it as we lost my dad to cancer in 2005, we went again last sept with my inlaws, dmom, and their was 10 of us altogether and yes we had a blast but we all missed my dad so tell your father that if anything your son will have a great memory my daughter and son remember it and im soo glad that we went, you never know what tommarrow will bring that is for sure, so tell him from me GO AND HAVE A GREAT TIME and kids are only little once

Yes, it will be a great magical trip if your dad will go..I will lift this in prayer. I am so hoping that when our 18 month old granddaughter gets older that my husband will go with us..so far I have been several times and he hasn't gone at all...Here's to a grand Disney trip
