Please help

I have posted this on other boards but unable to get a definate answer.
My question is this.

Xmas day at MK.
If i had a PS for later in the day, do I have to get to park at opening or can I arrive later say 1 hr before my PS time ??
I ask this as obviously MK will reache capacity very early on.
I know that you have to guarentee PS with a credit card in the holidays so what happens if you turn up 1 hr before your PS time and they wont let you into the park because its reached capacity will Disney charge your card as a no show.??
I will be staying on site as DVC member.
Surely they take into account people arrivng later for PS. Do they reaaly expect you to turn up at MK in the morning and wait around till evening just for a dining reservation.

Hope someone can help me with this question as am trying to decide my plans.

The park has different levels of closing. However, if it truly reaches closing (including resort guests) then your PS will not get you in unfortunately.

I don't think they will let you in for a PS if the park is closed because of capacity. You might not need to be there right at opening, but I would definitely be there by 10 a.m. I would probably go at opening though just to beat the crowds for some of the popular rides. We have been turned away on Christmas Day. It is probably the most crowded day of the year.

If you don't want to spend all of Christmas Day at a super crowded MK, maybe you could change your PS to Christmas Eve and go to another park on Christmas Day. Epcot would be my choice because it absorbs large crowds well, and you have some great dining options in World Showcase.

I've never been during the most crowded times, but if you are a resort guest, don't you have guaranteed entry into the parks? I know I've read this in the UG- has it changed? Or does it not apply on Christmas day?

Sorry if this is an uninformed post- just wondering.

As on on-site guest, you are guaranteed admission into a park, but not necessarily the park you want .
