Sanela-have you tried posting this on the Community Board? Lots of friendly and helpful people from every where over there.

My sister lived in Hunter Creek...it's very nice and family orineted

Hunters creek is very nice...kind of over priced.

Metro west is nice because they have some hills.
Altamonte is nice...if you want to go that way..check winter park also. The whole northeastern orlando area is very nice and good schools. We loved it when we lived in that area.

For our return within the year we are looking at the new areas building up between lakeland and Orlando...bigger lots, nice homes...still a short hop to disney.

We are also looking at the boggy creek/narcoosse area...also very nice.

We are building a house in Clermont--it's supposed to have some very good schools. There are quite a few apartment complexes that look very nice, as well as some really nice new construction ranging from very affordable to very expensive.

The best part is that from many points in Clermont you can actually look down over WDW and pick out some of the taller/larger structures! You can also watch the fireworks every night :)

I know a lot of WDW cast members live in Clermont and neighboring Davenport, although I've heard the Davenport schools aren't as good, but there's TONS of new construction going on there.

We spent several years looking around at different areas before settling on Clermont. One thing I advise is that if you can, visit the neighborhood at several different times on different days of the week to get a feel for the neighborhood as well as traffic in the area. Parts of the greater Orlando area have BRUTAL rush hour traffic.

Good luck in your hunting!

Anne

My suggestion would be Metro West...Bermuda Dunes...I have a friend who used to live there. They have really nice apartments and a nice pool, gym, beach volleyball court, and they have a lot of parties...your children would love it there...it's right in the heart of central florida about 30 min. away from Disney and only 5-10 minutes away from the nearest mall!!!

There are some good points that are made here. I currently live in the Sea World Area. I lived in Metrowest for two years, very nice, a bit pricier than most areas. Gates of Harbourtown is good, as well as Park Avenue. This is about 25 minutes from Disney. Housing is booming in the Clermont, Davenport area.

Hope this helps

Tim
