Okay.. I downloaded SpyBot on my computer a few days ago. I ran a scan and fixed whatever problems there were.

Now, I can not access TourGuideMike.com. Everytime I try, I get a message that says the website does not exist. I don't think the website is down for maintenance because I could access it on my brother's computer.

So, did I inadvertently delete something that I should not have? Can I fix it? Or is something else wrong? I know very little about the logistical side of computers.

Any information that you can give me would be appreciated. Oh and by the way, my ISP is NetZero Platinum in case that makes a difference.

I miss TourGuideMike!:(

if it does replace you link in your favorites with the new one.
If not we can go from there....

Mal.... It worked! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!:Pinkbounc

Disney Guest... I'm with you. I deleted SpyBot too.

By the way, Mal..... Did I say thank you?;)

I've never had a probelm with Adaware messing up my computer and it's great at removing all kinds of pests. You can download it for free at:

Lavasoft.com

Another vote here for Adaware. I ran it yesterday, I was bad and hadn't done it for about 3 weeks and it found 43 little critters!!!

That was the most I ever found.

Adaware is the best for stopping popups .
Spybot however caused more headaches for me than it did good.
The cable modem Company installer guy recommened Lavasoft, as the cable company is the reason for most of MY popups.
The cable companies get a kick back from the popups.
They don't have enough filters and firewalls built in.
I am only referring to the company I use.
Of course none of them will admit to being the cause.
I went from 1-2 popups aday to 100's after installing cable modem.
I run Adaware everyday and have almost zero popups.
I am only referring to my service only.

I have been using Ad-aware too. When I scan though, I can't use the Ad-Watch status. Did you do the upgrade or just use the free download? Thank you!

I can't use Ad-Watch either. I am still confuses as to how this program works. When I run it, it does list tracking cookies for me to delete. Does this mean they can track my activity until I delete them? I can delete them at 9:30 and they are back at 9:35. Is there a way to permanently stop these particular cookies from dropping to my computer?

Oh, every day I get the same cookies - of course I visit the same site. But last week, for the first time, I got two references to "Attempted Hikjacing of Browser". Yikes!

Have a nice day.

As I understand Ad Watch the upgrade stops the intrusions and cookies in real time,as they attempt to do their thing.
The faster you get the nasties off the less the chance of compromising your system.
I'm sure there is someone around here that can explain it much better.
What are you all running for SPAM?

I just ran Ad-aware and I had 71 little stinkers on my computer!! I just ran it last night before I shut down for the night and I had 30 or so. I have no clue how or where I picked so many little buggers in so short of time since I didn't even do any RPs this morning.

Thanks for the link to AD-aware ... I think I'll start running it a couple times a day now.
