We are at the staying in the Villas at GC and thinking about doing the Pixar parade tonight. We have always watched at Sunshine Plaza for the parade. If we enter from the GCH where would be a good- less crowded spot for the parade? We usually turn left and go up to the plaza? Any advice?

We've seen the parade several times right across from (what used to be) Mulholland Madness while my kids were riding Mulholland Madness. Usually not crowded because it is towards the end of the route and there are some benches there.

I agree this is the best idea for low crowds.

Also consider the wine bar area of WCT which is several feet above the parade route, though you want to be against the wall or the Alfresco Lounge, which is a ways off the route but over a story above the parade.

We are sitting there right now! I love Diser's . Thanks so much ! What a great location!

When did the parade get so much smaller? We were in WDW in Feb. of 09 and and also at DLR Halloween of last year. We still enjoyed the parade but missed all the trampolines/action and the entire parade seemed just seemed so much smaller. At the end of the parade my DD8 who just turned 8 the day before informed me that she was getting a little to old for that parade(had to hold back the
tear) :( . She was excited to see Lotso but last year got to dance with Bo peep and was disappointed she had been removed ! It did seem like a lot of bubbles !

I don't know. :confused3

Last time we saw the parade was in May, and it seemed the same (all of waht you described was in it), but from pictures I have seen of the Christmas Parade at DL, at least one of the floats is in that parade...I had wondered if they had two of that float, or had taken it from the Pixar Parade.....

 about your daughter. I think many of us have seen our kids go through this, and it is heart-breaking as they out-grow certain rides or activities at Disney, but the good new is that new excitement comes for other things. I definitely remember one trip where it struck me that they had outgrown a number of the rides (like the ones in A Bug's Land) and were instead all about Calif Screamin. But a few years later, they get a kick out of some of them again. And it is fun to see them do things like set goals for the most times riding a certain ride.

Anywhere near the paradise pier area is a good place to watch the parade, less crowded.. also if you watch from the alfresco lounge you can get a good view and maybe some cocktails! ;)

Yeah, went through this with our 7 yo granddaughter last trip. She's always been absolutely nuts about the princesses. Seen all the Cinderella DVDs thousands of times, has costumes, etc. So during our August trip, I suggested Princess Fantasy Faire, since we had missed it our last trip (when she was 6). Her response?

"Naw, those are just people in princess costumes".

I was heartbroken. I wouldn't be surprised if a tear escaped from my eye.

Yep, they grow up too fast.
