put half of it into the bank, and keep the rest as pocket money.

You never know when you'll want to go to the mall, or you see a cute pair of earrings or something.

I would put half in the bank and use the rest on something you have really wanted.

I would save half, spend half. Thats what I do with all the money I receive for various things;holidays, chores, babysitting, etc.

I don't get paid for grades either.
Usually every summer my parents let me buy something, or do something, but it's just them being proud of me. Actually, it probably has nothing to do with my grades.
I'd save it, just because I'm the kind of person who has 87 cents left, and just spends it on mindless stuff. I really do buy stuff to the last penny. I'm trying to get better.

I've never been paid for getting good grades. I'd be rich.

i know me too. especially if i was paid since reception(i'm not dull i am pretty clever the DIS just doesnt show it). i'd be stinkin rich. of course some of it would go towards my baby boy(sparx btw).

at the end of school year if i've had good results my mom will buy something for sparky

I think you should save some money. I knwo it sounds silly but just so you can learn the value of money at a younger age. Spend a little every now and then, and you never knwo you might come across something you want to save for.
