Please help with vacation countdown!

I've read how to add a vacation countdown. I've tried it about a dozen times over 3 different days and it doesn't work. I choose everything, cut and paste this (our choice):

....I put it in the "Your Signature" part of "Edit Signature" -- I click on "Save Signature" and nothing changes. What am I missing? Thank you!

You are not using the BBCode-- there are several different options and you need to copy and paste all that is that specific box. Take a look at the FAQ and Video Tutorial on the Welcome board (links in my signature) for help.

Thank you lovetoscrap! But....now it seems that a thread I posted earlier this evening has disappeared from the boards! Is it possible that changing my signature affected earlier posts? Doesn't make sense -- and many of my earlier posts are still there, except that one specifically. Weird....

What was the thread about and what board did you post it on? Changing your signature won't affect anything but a moderator may have had a reason to move or remove your post.

The title was something like "One Ride, Each Park." It was in Theme Park Strategies and I asked if you could only do one attraction in each of the four main parks, which would you choose. I checked somewhere in mid afternoon Sunday and saw it had about 50 replies and was 5 pages long.
About an hour AFTER that, another family member went to look, and it had dropped to the third page of "Theme Park" area -- and it had only 3 pages of replies and a lower number of replies.
That was weird enough, but by late evening, it had disappeared completely! I've done the "search by user name" function and all my posts for the past 9 years come up -- except that one!
We need Matlock on this....

If you subscribe to it then it will be easy to go back and find it later. Not sure if Search is having a few hiccups, a few others have said they can't find things they have posted when they search.
