Please help with timing/discount? Feb or May?

Hi all,

Excited to see the new discounts posted this morning, but now I'm trying to decide when to visit. I'm considering the first weeks of either February or May because I'd like to avoid huge crowds. I was leaning towards May so I could save up for dining/shopping splurges, but with the discounts for February it might be better to go then. My main question is do they usually offer discounts in May, too, or should I not expect one and plan accordingly?

My family went this past May and loved it. It was very hot for this yankee (about 85+ and humid about half the time). But very few lines except on weekends. We expected to see school groups but I don't remember seeing a single one. 10 min max wait for rides except for Soarin', Space Mountain, Dumbo and the go-cart cars. We were really pleased! As for discounts, we didn't get much except that it was still during the tail end of value season (we stayed off site) so the hotel room was reasonable, and we used the coupons from a book sent to us by our WDW ticket broker to save on offsite restaurants. On the other hand, if you are from a snowy state you might want to go in Feb to get a break from the winter!

I'm in Georgia, so there isn't *too* much winter weather to escape and I get plenty of HOT in the summer!

It's great to hear the crowds aren't bad in May and since we plan to stay at a Value resort I think we'll be able to swing a vacation w/o a discount. We've just wasted too much money in the past on disappointing three, four, and five star hotels. I'd rather pay for a "Motel" and know what to expect!
