Please help with questions for getting tickets for 1 day

I would really appreciate any help--have never been to USF or WDW so this is all new to me.

We can only spend 1 day @ USF (are staying at Portafino that night for FOTLP)) but don't know what is the best way to get tickets? With just 1 day pass, can we only get them at the park? Is it a long line to do so? Or do we have any other options for getting the passes so that when we get to USF we can get going on the rides as soon as possible?

We have 3 at adult rate, 2 at childrens. How crazy are we to buy only 1 day passes? Do people do this or buy multi day passes with the intent to return in the future?

You can buy tickets at the PBH Concerige desk. You may be able to find discounted 1 day tickets at www.usoinfo.com, www.universalorlando.com, or www.ticketmania.com

You can get them at the front gate, but beware! You may encounter a long line and will not get a discount unless you have AAA or a coupon. As a matter of fact, AAA may have 1 day tickets too.

I tried the sites you listed and was only able to get on the 3rd but I will keep trying the other 2 as well. I appreciate the heads up about long lines if waiting until arrival at the park to get tickets, sounds like a bad idea when your excited and want to get inside and get going! Ticketmania must be reputable or you wouldn't have listed it!!?? so they may end up with our business. thanks again, Penny

There is no longer any AAA discount available for one day ticket at Universal if you purchase at the ticket window. Found this out the hard way when we went their on 6/3/03.

you can also check with your local AAA office ours carries them, and also if you have a Spencers Gifts Store near you they carry them also ( at least the three around here does)

Wondering how much of a discount AAA gave with the tickets? And do you have to be a AAA member? I would guess "yes" as this would be a perk of joining, and I'm not a member.

due these tickets expire ( i day from Ticketmania)? or are they good always like WDW? Thanks
