so i have just booked a mnsshp and was trying to plan the best way to manage food right before. we like to eat an afternoon meal in place of late dinner anyway. i was thinking about either crystal palace or liberty tree tavern? was hoping not to conflict with the festival of fantasy parade but cannot for the life of me remember whether it starts at the front or back of the park : / so any help there would be appreciated. i have not eaten at ltt before but it looks like dinner would be a better choice than lunch which is just ala carte items. so which would you choose between those two? and what time would you eat? thanks everyone!

I'm not an expert but I do know that festival of fantasy ends at the front of the park.. I feel like it begins in frontierland? sorry if i'm wrong! You cant go wrong with crystal palace or liberty tree tavern, theyre both great. Depends on the preferences of who is going with you! Crystal palace has more options as it is buffet and has characters so I prefer it but LTT is also really good!!

thank you! i thought that parade started in frontierland but just wasn't sure : ) i was trying to check the prices as well and on the disney site it just gives a range so i might call them to get a clearer idea on that. thanks again : )

I believe Crystal Palace is a set $30 per adult. But I've only been for lunch so that may be different later in the afternoon going into dinner. LTT I think is also around $30?? Again, someone please correct me haha it's been awhile

There's a stickied thread at the top of this forum that lists the prices for the buffets, family style and fixed price venues.

LTT is our favorite restaurant in the MK, but we like their lunch menu much more than dinner so on party days we book the last available time for lunch which is usually around 2:45.

FoF parade starts at Frontierland and ends at Town Square.

thank you purple figment : ) after much switching around i decided i liked the lunch menu at ltt better too, especially since i've never tried that ooey gooey desert. i booked for 1:20 with the thought that we would be out by the time the parade starts at 3:00. do you think that would work?

Late lunch at 1:20 on MNSSHP day...
You are very smart to have your lengthy meal before the party begins so that you can enjoy more of the festivities!
So many people have asked my advice on this and then ignore it, planning dinners that will take 90 min or more at 7 pm. Then they will complain that they didn't get to do much at the party.

thank you for your input. i am hoping that we will finish by the time the festival of fantasy parade starts at 3:00 and then we can just step outside and watch it : ) i can't imagine wanting to eat during the party because there are too many other things to do. that would stress me out, lol. thanks again : )

Yes, 1:20 should be good. You can check in 10-15 minutes early. Our waits to be seated are usually no more than a few minutes and overall, a three course meal probably won't take more than an hour. Our favorite entrees are the Colony Salad and the Pot Roast and the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is one of our favorite DW desserts.

it all sounds good. will probably take your menu suggestions. that ooey gooey toffee cake has been on my radar for a while. didn't realize it was only offered at lunch, not dinner. thanks for your suggestions. i am pretty psyched for this trip as we are doing mnsshp and also club villain on another night. also i am a total sucker for riding haunted mansion at night, so there's that....... : )
