The unofficial guide lists Monday Oct 10 as a good day to go to mk. I thought mon was always a bad day to go because everyone else goes on that day. What do you think? I'm not sure what to make of this.

Mon Oct 10th is the one Monday where everyone stays home :confused3

Predictions about which day to go to a given park are fairly unreliable. It is never known what tour groups, convention groups or others will be at any given park.

Any Monday may be good at the MK or busy. You really never know.

Get a pass with park hopper features. That's the best defense. If you get to a park that is too full for your liking, hop on over to another one.

I don't mean to be stupid but where did you get this unofficial guide? Is it a book, or a website? How can they tell which days are going to be crowded or not? If it works, I would like to check my dates and see which ones are good.

The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World is a GREAT guidebook, but it has a related website - www.touringplans.com . There you will find the predictions of crowd levels for every individual date for the next year.

Hmmmmm...I would think that Monday would be a bad day because it's Columbus Day this year and an off day for some people. :confused3

I agree with DVC~OKW~96...get a hopper and if it's crowded go somewhere else! :earsboy:

They said that since most people arrive on Saturday to do Disney the Order they usually go to parks is Mk day one, MK and or Epcot day two, Epcot and or MK day three, Day 4 AK or MGM ect. That usually means Sat Sun Mon are busy busy days at MK and some of the best days to go to AK or MGM. This does not include how EMH would affect Disney resort stayers choice of park, just average park goer. If you can resist the urge to go to MK immediately (I can't have to go there first) you can eliminate some crowds/ waits. Same thing occurs with waterparks, the first few days are the best to go , most ppl go to them only after doing at least 2 of the parks. Does anyone agree with this?

natester,

I'll go back and check, but I think MNSSHP may be what's driving our Monday recommendation there. Remember that the crowd calendar is designed to recommend each theme park at least once in every 7 day period, so families who're going for a week have at least one opportunity to see each park on as good a day as possible. That causes us to make "least bad" recommendations on occasion, rather than "best." I think this is explained fully on the Best Days page.

Thanks for visiting the site!

Sincerely,

Len
