Please Help with Itinerary

Ok, so we are going Aug 18-24th, and this is what I have so far. I have the touring plans crowd levels marked out, plus Kenny the Pirate's suggestions for each day. I also added the EMH and our ADRs. We will have park hoppers and I cannot decide where to go each day. It will be me, my husband, my parents, and our five kids ranging from 5yrs to 15 yrs. Some days I know I'll at least be in a certain park at a certain time bc of adrs. I just cannot decide and I want a plan so I know what fastpasses to choose and that way we will also have sort of plan and not just run here and there. Should we do early extra magic hours and then go somewhere else? Go to late EMH? We are also thinking of doing the express transportation. Please help!

Well, crud, it won't keep it in the format I created it. The touring plan numbers for each day go in the order of Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood and then AK. Same for Kenny. and the hours.

Just a quick couple of questions: are you planning on all staying together the entire time or separating? And do you know if your folks are early bird/rope drop people or will you be heading in later during the day? For me personally, the first place to start is determining if you will be hitting rope drop most days with an afternoon break or sleeping in and spending the afternoons in the park, or if you are ultimate diehards who will go from open to close every day (good luck). I prefer the former as you get much more done, but you probably need to have a realistic understanding of the rest of your group's expectations on arrival times.

I'm not sure. We have never gone with my parents. They haven't been in a very long time. We are diehards normally, and definitely at the very least rope droppers. And we normally get to most of what we want to do. My dad can't walk long distances so we will be factoring in a scooter. We will also have our cars so we may or may not use transportation. Ugh. I just don't know! And I'm not against going to the room to relax if we really need it. I usually have a breakdown on day 3! ha! But I LOVE it! (disney, not the breakdown) I think my parents will be with us some times and resting when they need to. They don't want us to be super stressed over them, but I do want to spend a lot of time with them there.

We like to hop. For us, hitting the morning EMH park until about noon and then either getting an afternoon nap back at the resort or hopping over to the more recommended park works for us. We also try to fit in a late EMH at MK if we can do so without burning the candle at both ends. You have a much larger party and getting everyone up and out the door to get to the parks by 8 am may be a little difficult. You need to decide if EMH (either one) will work for you. If not, then just avoid them.

Your ADRs are going to drive some of your park choice. So once you decide what you want to do with EMH, I'd put those in next.

We want two nights at HS so we can do both Fantasmic! and the Star Wars Spectacular. We also would want a daytime at AK and a night there to see Pandora at night. And of course a night for Illuminations and the new fireworks at MK are also a must. So those would be penciled in next. At this point, your week will probably be just about set.
