was wondering what there is to do for folks on Halloween who aren't going to MNSSHP. I read a quick response regarding DTD and SSR...does anyone have any more information about fun and festive things to do OUTSIDE of the expensive halloween party?

Any information along with prices would be much appreciated! Thank you!

By design, Disney wants you to attend the party so not much is offered else where.

Seems like I read somewhere that Ft. Wilderness has some activities, to include a "haunted" hayride?

Our DGC were too young for MNSSHP (2,3, 4) in 2007 when we were at WDW for Halloween week. We had loads of free fun. On the 30th, we went trick or treating at DTD. Plenty of candy, lots of attention for the DGC. On Halloween, there were some activities at VWL where we stayed. I remember seeing a time where the kids could decorate a treat bag, and there was a parade through the resort around 5. We didn't do any of the resort things, we were at a theme park during the day. In the evening, we went over to the BW for more trick or treating, there was a DJ on the BW, by the Village Green, and the we went back to DTD. DTD on that night also had music, more trick or treating, and it was fun.

There were other resorts that did things. I remember calling for information, just on the hotel phone.

I think 10/31 is already sold out for MNSSHP.

But, the time we were there right before Halloween, I'm pretty sure they did things at the resorts like a parade, and handed out candy.

Thank you guys for all of the information!! I think we are going to go to Epcot on halloween because it shouldn't be as crowded and we will try to find things to do at the resort and DTD on the fri before and sun after!

Thanks again fellow DiSers!!!
