Hello....
I am still debating between the 4 day and the 7 day cruise. One thing that might make a difference -- the dress code. My husband only owns one suit. On the 7 day cruise is he supposed to wear a jacket and tie on formal and semi-formal nights, as well as anytime we are to dine at Lumiere's? Or is it just on the formal/semi-formal nights and the rest are more casual regardless of which restaurant?
I think I get it on the 4 day ( you just dress appropriately for the restaurant of the evening) but the 7 day is confusing!!

In theory, Lumieres is the "dressy" restaurant. In practice, I have seen people wear all sorts of things. They definitely wouldn't kick your hubby out if he wasn't in a suit. He should be fine just wearing it for the formal and semi-formal nights (some people don't even dress up for those). Disney tends to be pretty casual dress-wise.

The suit would be fine for Formal night and Semi-Formal. Some people wear tuxes but others wear suits so he should be fine there. Lumieres DOES suggest a jacket, but he could just wear that same suit again (especially if he has different ties) He'll probably have the suit on for a total of about three hours each time so I'd imagine that he could get away with wearing it more than once. The other thing to consider is that it is possibe that you will be in Lumieres for one of the formal nights (depending on your rotation!) so that would kill two birds with one stone! Or you could plan to go to Palo (Which does request a jacket for men) on your second Lumieres night and again kill two birds with one stone! :)

Good luck you'll have a blast on either cruise!

My DH, who just loves dressing up (seriously), takes just one suit. He packs a few shirts, ties, and a pair of khakis. He does send the shirts to be laundered on the ship (reasonable cost and quick service) and did have his slacks pressed.
