Trip planned for Aug 2015. I really want to see La Nouba. We are staying at BLT and want to see the 6pm show. Here are my questions:

How do we get from BLT to La Nouba and how long to allow for travel?

What can we do about dinner??? We are "early" eaters - like 5 or 6pm. I don't think we could wait until after the show for dinner. (How long is the show?) We will have the dining plan. I can't figure out if we eat a late buffet lunch, have a substantial snack and a later meal, an early dinner, or what. I'm stumped.

Please, let me know what works.
thanks!

La Nouba is at DTD so you can take the bus to DTD and either walk across DTD or take the boat to Westside (La Nouba is the far end of the Westside). You can either have an early dinner at DTD at about 4pm so you will be out in time for the show and grab a snack afterwards or grab a snack about 5 and eat afterwards. I would guess that you could make a reservation for about 8pm but I don't know the length of the show. Getting for BLT to DTD is about a 20 minute bus ride plus your wait for the bus. I give myself about 1 hour before my reservations to get there and then get to my reservations but you could always do a little shopping if you get there early.

The show is about 90 minutes long. How about a 4:15/4:30 pm dinner at a DTD restaurant? House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck's and Bongo's would be the closest restaurants. Then you can just walk over to the theater after dinner.

I would allow about 90 minutes travel time (including waiting for the bus) from BLT to DTD if using Disney transport. If you happen to get there early, there are tons of things to see at DTD! You can also take a cab which would be much faster.

We stayed BLT in Oct and this is what we did: we hung out at the resort during the day/swimming/etc...Around 4, we walked over to MK and took a bus to OKW. We then took the boat over to DTD, around 5ish. We had a drink at House of Blues and then went into the theater around 5:30. We got popcorn and drinks in the theater, and enjoyed the show (it's so good!). We then went to TRex for dinner at 8. We are very early dinner people as well (and early bedtime people...I am usually asleep by 8-8:30 so everyone else is in bed before that), but this was a good plan for us. I didn't want to do dinner at 4-4:30 because I felt like we would just be hungry after the show again.

Thanks for the replies. You have given me some things to think about. I'm still not sure what we will do. I guess I have a couple of weeks to figure it out. I think I'll just plan on quick service meal that evening. We could pick something up and maybe pack it with us and eat at dtd or maybe just pay out of pocket.

thanks for the details!

We saw the 6pm show last March. We had a snack before the show, maybe some popcorn, too, and then grabbed a light meal when we got back to our resort around 8pm. We decided to take taxis instead of the buses and were really glad we did. The bus ride can be an hour long with all the stops and waiting for it. But the taxi was quick and easy. :)

Ds (college age) and I went this past August. He insisted on swimming up to the last minute that we could, so we took a taxi over.

We got popcorn nachos and a pretzel at the show.

We walked back to the bus stop and passed so many rest. and ds couldnt make up his mind where to eat, sigh.

By the time we got back to the hotel, all the places were closed.

There is no intermission during the show, so unless you get the food when you walk in you will miss the show if you leave during it for snacks.

If you re on the dining plan and want to use 1 credit look at the menus for
Raglan Road 1 ts credit
Wolfgang Puck Express 1 qs credit

Thanks for the additional information. It is a big help. I will look into the taxi and the qs meal. This may come together after all. The info about no intermission at the show is also helpful!

then went into the theater around 5:30. We got popcorn and drinks in the theater, and enjoyed the show (it's so good!). We then went to TRex for dinner at 8.

We have the same plan, we already have tickets to the 6pm show and i just made my ADR at TREX for 8pm
I was concerned that it may not have been enough time
Did you feel rushed to get from the show to dinner in 30min?
How did u get to TREX from the show, walk or boat?

We just saw the 6 pm show this past Valentines Day. Had a reservation at 4:00 Paradiso, let the server know we had the show at 6. We had 14 people. Great menu, lighter items as well as those that could really fill you up. Timing worked out perfectly.

We did not feel rushed to get to TRex. We walked over and arrived just a few minutes before 8. We were seated right away...worked out perfectly!

I would suggest if you don't want to worry about eating as much going to Wolfgang Puck Express, its only a few minutes walk from Cirque Du Soleil and although it is counter service, it is all cooked fresh and brought to you on china plates. Catch a bus from your resort about 3:30-4pm so you arrive at DTD about 4-4:30, this should give you an hour to eat. As you pay at the counter before you get your food at WP Express then you don't need to worry about waiting for the bill.
