Hi All

I have a problem ! I have been to WDW 6 times and want to go again next Dec 04 (usual time) but because of cash I don't know whether to do a cruise instead (1 week med oct 04) . I am a single parent with two DD's (6 +13) anyone got any ADVICE whether for or against I would really apreciate it .

Regards
Kev

Thats a hard decision to make!! Sounds like you really want to go to Disney but the expense is a problem.

Here are a few points for you to think over, good luck.

Disney at Christmas is very magical, I love it

You will have two extra months to save up

You could go for a budget hotel with transport to the parks then you would not need car hire. There are lots of cheap deals available pre Christmas

Disney is a childs paradise, not too sure about a cruise for a 6 year old.

Have the children been to Disney before? Have they been on a cruise before? What is their preference.

I'm a single parent too with two kids (7 & 11) and find that WDW is the perfect holiday for us. Keeps us all happy with so much to do and the kids never say those infuriating words "I'm bored!".

Never having been on a cruise I can't comment on that however, I understand that there is stacks for kids to do on those if they're happy to go to the children's clubs etc. I've always fancied a cruise but have never gone as I've felt (rightly or wrongly!) that it would be mostly couples and families that would go.

WDW doesn't have to be expensive if you go the DIY route and even though on a cruise all your food is included I would have thought the two costs could be reasonably similar.

HTH

Astrid :)
