WE are looking at renting a home for the first time, next June. We love Jennifer's Briar Patch Villa and hubby would like to do 1 week in 2 different homes. I started loking for a location for the second week and I'm completely overwhelmed. I know which subdivisions sound great (only from reading all of your wise advice). I feel like such a rookie! WHat questions should I ask?? We are pretty easy to please. I have 3 daughters (10,9, and 3) and our only requirements are: private pool, at least 3 bedrooms, pool security system or safety devices, and that's about it. I have looked at so many homes now, they are all running together. Oh, and I'd like to keep the price at $1000 per week or less. Any advice???? :earsgirl:

I so wish that I could find the info for the house we stayed in last year.

It was a bit bigger than you want, but it was about 850/week with pool heat and had a gate around the pool.

Unfortuanetly I can not remember the neighborhood it was in, but we were all of 10-15 minutes from Disney. I've asked my MIL to look too if I Hear from her I'll let you know.

We went through the same issues - it's so hard to choose, isn't it? This March we split our 2 week stay between a home in Windsor Palms and a home in Emerald Island. Both were lovely. With five of you travelling, three bathrooms rather than two makes a difference (there were six of us, and we found that we really appreciated the third bathroom in the second home we stayed in). Also, our second home had televisions in all the bedrooms, as well as in the living areas - no fighting over what to watch...

I would also make sure the home offers free local calls. The first home we stayed in didn't, and it was a bit of a nuisance. One last thing - if you're renting privately it is really nice to have a lock box or keyless entry system at the house so you don't have to drive to management company offices to pick up a key. Saved quite a bit of time by checking that both of the homes had that feature. Have a wonderful time and enjoy your trip planning!
