I have to say, after reading all of the posts, I felt like you and maxiesmom were both very demeaning in your responses. I don't know any of you but I was a bit taken aback by the tone in your posts.

I wish the "veterans" on this board would take a minute to check their attitude before posting. If you can't be helpful and non judgmental, keep your thoughts to yourself and move on to another post.

And some of us veterans on the board wish people were not so quick to take offence when none was meant.

As someone who works in a business where we handle gift cards and the like on a daily basis I can tell you it is not as simple as sending someone a new card when they state they have lost one. There is research involved. Otherwise you would have tons of people claiming they had lost cards when they had not. "Hey Disney, send me a new $100 gift card. I've "lost" the other one!" And then they would have 2 $100 gift cards.

The OP has not committed some heinous crime. However, she does need to accept a bit of responsibility for the problem to begin with. And the tone I don't like seems to be saying this whole mess was Disney's fault, and it wasn't.

I have no idea what is demeaning about expecting someone to accept personal responsibility for their actions. Instead of placing the blame on someone else.
