Our family is planning a trip to WDW in March and we are considering flying out of Syracuse, NY rather than driving down, if the price is right. There seem to be some reallly reasonable fares showing up on the Transmeridian Airlines website, but I don't know much about the airline itself (reputation, service, reliability). Can anyone who has experiences with Transmeridian please share them with me so I can make a decision on this?

Thanks so much!

We just returned from Cancun last week on them. They were good, plane not a large one but clean, flight attendents very nice to talk to. Only problem we had was that our luggage was lost. And still is but they have been returning our calls. We heard as of Thurs that it was found and on its way to us via FedEx. But I must say they have been communicating with us about it not ignoring us. So yes even with that I would fly them again.

My sister and her family fly Transmeridian from upstate NY to MCO every time they go to WDW, and they love it. This airline was recommended to her by a travel agent who uses Transmeridian very often.

Actually, TMA flies from Syracuse to *Sanford* Orlando Airport, a smaller and more easily negotiated airport northEAST (sorry about giving the wrong direction the first time!) of Orlando. We've flown TMA several times and have always had great flights. Being nonstop is also a plus, and my kids like the simple meals served (blueberry or banana Keebler mini-loaves and yogurt for breakfast, turkey or roast beef subs with chips and oreos for the evening flight). The only reason I'm going with another airline this April is because money was tight and I saved almost $150 per person to fly Northwest out of Binghamton. Despite the savings, I know we'll be missing TMA!

Thank you all SO much for putting my mind at ease - off I go to book our flights!!

Do yourself a favor, book using a Credit Card.

TMA is a charter airline. A credit card gives you much more protection in the event something does happen as occured last year with SouthEast. I have no reason to think there is any reason to expect problems, but better safe then sorry!
