Please Help!!! Sooo Confused with ticket situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going down to WDW in September. First of which is September 6-9, for night of Joy and then I'm going back 9/13-9/22. I am going to be getting an annual pass but since we are all on a package for free dining we all have to have the same ticket. I have gotten us all 1 day base tickets and we will upgrade when we get there. My question is, when I should buy the AP? If I get it down there is it more expensive? I have never gotten an AP so I really don't know any details. I also want to get the DDE card and dont know anything about that. I've read articles but still don't get answers to my questions Can anyone help before I pull my hair out, please???

There are no discounts on the AP, so you can buy it when you arrive if that is your preference. As far as the DDE, what are your questions? If you want to know the cost, it is $65 for AP holders. They will need your AP number in order to process the request. My understanding is that delivery is 3-4 weeks. I've only recently ordered mine, so I can't tell you more. They will want to know when you are arriving so that they can tell you a good time to order it. You should also know that the DDE expiration does not correspond with your AP expiration. The DDE expires 1 year from date of purchase.

You can purchase the DDE while in WDW if it is a weekday. You have to call the DDE office and they can have a temporary card waiting for you at EPCOT Guest services after 5pm (I believe that is the correct time).

Call the DDE office and they can tell you all the official info. I know I ordered it at 9am one day and picked it up that night.
