PLEASE Help.. santa monica!

Hi disser's I would like to know if the beach at santa monica is calm and clean enough to go swim inside. I will be staying at the Loews with my dh and twins (5 yrs old)' thanks Belinda

Well, it depends. Normally, it's as good as any other So Cal beach. But, if there's been any kind of noticeable storm within the previous week or so, I'd stay out of the water. That's when all the storm runoff pollutes the water. Also, watch the beach for any signs warning you to stay out because of sewage spills. It does happen. As I said, though, normally it's fine. And it's a lovely place.

Though it probably didn't sound that way from what I just wrote...

I think there are lifeguards on the beach near the Loews. They usually post whether or not it is swim safe.

The pool at the Loews is nice and you can see the ocean from it. You could always pretend!!!
