Please help! We are trying to decide what level room (Woods vs Courtyard) and what *View* would be best for us. We will be getting 2 rooms since there are 5 of us.

I have triplets (2 have special needs) and they do not sleep very well. Noise will be a big factor in requesting a room. I do not want to be awakened by trucks and will forgo any view over noise.

So... we are trying to decide between a Woods View (hopefully MK/Wishes View) and a Inner Courtyard/Lobby View. What are the advantages of each? Do you still get an "outside" balcony with a lobby view or just the lobby view? Is it really noisy? Which floor is the best? We are huge Christmas fanatics, and I thought being able to see the lobby and hear the Christmas events would be really fun. Are there ANY rooms that do both views? But, seeing Wishes at night would be so cool for my kids (and me!).

As far as specifics, what do I request for each type when I talke to CRO? I read that Woods View 5th floor North Wing overlooking the Otter Pond was best for the MK view. Is that correct? How do I specifically request the Inner Courtyard/Lobby View? Is there a floor/location that is better?

Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for all the help! We are so excited about our Christmas trip!

We just came back from WL and wanted a quiet room too. My husband has cancer and I have had some health issues over the past year. I asked on the Dis right before we left and got some great advice from one Diser. At check-in we explained our situation. The CM was WONDERFUL, can't say enough good stuff about her and the WL in general. We had not stayed there in years. We had a woods view room and she gave us a room overlooking the WL villa pool on the 4th floor, 4158 I believe. It was a long walk, but we told her we didn't mind that at all, in fact I think in order to get a quiet room you do need to walk a little. Yes I did notice the rooms off the lobby and we didn't think they would be quiet at all. Too much noise from the lobby. I don't know about the ones facing the main pool, we didn't want to chance it. The only noise we heard was people walking by in the early morning hours. As an aside, I can't understand why people can't be quiet. We are night owls, came in every night between 1-2 am and were very quiet and respectful of others. I expect the same. ANYWAY, we had a wonderful stay and I'm sure you will too. Just ask very nicely at check-in and explain your situation. As another Disers said, I don't think people like to walk a long way to their rooms, most people want to be near stairs, elevators, etc. I think CMS are happoy when people tell them they don't mind walking.

Good Luck and Have a Wonderful Vacation!!!

We checked into the WL at about 10:30 in the morning on marathon day. Didn't expect any rooms to be ready, but one was. The CM just assigned it to us. When she explained where it was, I wasn't really happy about it, but we took it. Turned out to be the BEST room. It was on the ground floor. First room on the right in the hallway down from the gift shop. It had a nice little courtyard with a view of the Villas. It was SO Quiet. There was no one around us. It was a VERY short walk to the bus stop and right off the lobby. It was the most convenient room I've ever had at Disney. Sometimes the "not so good" sounding rooms are really the best. I wish I could remember the room number. We would request it again

We are taking our five year old triplet boys to the WL on April 16th. We also have two rooms booked. We have chosen Woods View rooms. I'll let you know when we get back what rooms we had and how they worked out for us.

We were upgraded to a courtyard view on the fifth floor (5017 i believe). I can't imagine theres a bad view on that floor, but the walk from the bus drop off to the room was kinda long my poor sore feet.
