Hi everyone....I just wanted to check in with all of you knowledgable people here to find out about the no expiration option for tickets.

First of all I have rented points and am staying at SSR in October. I'm getting ready to buy my tickets. I'm staying 6 days, 5 nights in WDW. Is it possible to get maybe a 10 day ticket with the no expiration option and use the tickets again next year? Or am I only allowed to get tickets for the length of stay at SSR?

TIA for your help!!!

You can get 10 days non expiring, no problem!

You might want to consider adding the water parks and more.. that will give you 10 more days of water parks, disney quest, ect.. for 20 days of fun!

What do you think about this....

I'm paying for a trip for some of my extended family this year and we're going back alone next year. This year I have 5 adults going.

If I get the 7 day MYW with park hopper for all 5, that gives me 10 total extra days (5 days extra each next year to use for me and my husband). The cost will be $1,839.90 for all five. If I only do the 5 day MYW with park hopping, the cost is $1,378.50. So, I'm paying $461.40 extra. BUT...that gives me the 5 days next year for DH and I, which would normally cost $793.81.

Do you think that's a good idea?

Sounds good to me! We usually do this, at least the last few trips. It is nice that the days dont expire and can be used on your next trip! It is cheaper per day when you stay longer so it is definitely a much better value if you can afford it! Figure out best costs and then see if it is beneficial for you.

Or this...

this gets really confusing

a 10 day no expiration park hopper for one (5 extra days)

2 7 day no expiration park hoppers (4 more day)

6 day no expiration park hopper for one (1 more day)

Total of 10 extra days that do not expire

Total cost is 1635.75, saving $536.56 for next year!!!

Is this possible?

I knew it was too good to be true!!! lol

I totally messed that up and was only getting 4 tickets. The first idea is cheaper...

I'm confused. Let me see if I have this straight

You planning to buy 5 adult 7-day passes this year for 5 different adults.
Then they will each use 5 of those 7 days and you will keep each of those 5 tickets with 2 days left on each of them. Next year, you & your DH will return to WDW and use all the days on those 5 for yourselves.

If that's your plan, it won't work. Tickets are non-transferrable and Disney uses a fingerprint ID system to ensure that this rule is enforced. If I got it wrong, forgive me for being dense. I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet.:surfweb:

Tickets are non-transferrable, so you won't be able to use other people's extra days next year. But what you could do is get 10-day non-expiry tickets for you and your husband, and then get 5-day expiry tickets for your other guests. The non-expiration add-on adds about $100 per ticket, so not getting it on the passes for the people who won't be returning will already save you some money. Getting it added on for you and your husband makes sense if you plan to return again soon - or ever, actually! We only buy 10-day completely tricked out tickets (water park fun and more, park hopper, non-expiring) when we're not getting APs.

Which would be another option - APs for yourself and your husband, if you're planning on returning for your extra 5 days within 12 months. APs tend to be cheaper if you're going 8+ days in a 12 month period - and you can often get discounts at restaurants, stores or hotels for having one.

Hope this helps!
Amanda
