Please Help Question about Amazon Prime to Boardwalk Villas

When you order bananas it's per BUNCH. Not per BANANA.

Made that mistake last trip. Ordered what I thought was 8 bananas. NOPE. I got 8 bunches. The guy kept bringing in bag after bag of food and I'm thinking "I didn't order all this stuff. It must be the wrong room." Nope. I had about 50 bananas in my room!

Reminds me of a friend who ordered 2 or 3 onions and ended up with 2 or 3 bags of onions....

A little sidetracked, but a comment about Amazon Logistics(as they now call it I believe)..Had 2 orders recently,
the first one, when I checked my A/C, it said accepted by resident(a complete joke, three of us was at home that day, none of us accepted the package). Spoke with Amazon, angry that driver gave incorrect information in the log that the package was "accepted by resident". Amazon CS was great, said they would investigate, and send a free replacement in meantime. The next day found the original package in my US mailbox, which they are not allowed to do! Now the hassle of going to UPS to return the second free replacement.
Then my second order, I specifically left a note in my account for instructions, leave on porch. It was left by the garage. Extremely dissatisfied!

Have they told you to send back the replacement? Have you asked them to arrange a pickup instead?

I assume the order you’re talking about it a normal order and not groceries? It’s pretty weird that they would put it in your mailbox.

I hope your delivery goes smoothly. I would avoid a Saturday night order during food and wine festival lol. Let us know how your delivery goes! Enjoy your mimosas! Tip: order the French martini at the Belle Vue lounge in the evening. The outside patio is nice and service is great outside too but we like hanging out inside. Comfortable couches, chairs, and tables. There are board games and old radio programs playing quietly, if you can’t find someone to strike up a conversation with. Only 5-6 barstools but sitting at the bar can be fun as well. Best French martini I have had outside my favorite restaurant in Nola, Brigstens.

That sounds perfect! Im headed down March 4th second solo trip ever. Apparently I need some rest and relaxation says my husband. Lol but its an early bday gift. We were there in January for his 40th and I kept saying I wanted to spend my bday there but my actually bday flights were double

Yes, sent a replacement, was a regular order, not groceries,couldn’t stop the delivery by the time I found the original order in mailbox. Now I have to mail back the replacement. Not happy that it wound up in mailbox!

It's possible that the original package was delivered but to the wrong person, and that person placed it in your mailbox. Not likely, but possible. Delivery companies (and likely their employees) are typically aware of the illegality of use mailboxes; individuals, not so much.

Anyway, if you can catch the driver, refuse the package. If not, contact Amazon again for advice.

When I called Amazon, they said it was Amazon Logistics and that they should not have put the small package in the mailbox. Yes, perhaps it was misdelivered to a neighbor, but doubtful.

Have always used garden grocer in the past but considering amazon for upcoming trip. From your comments, seems like some bad experiences with amazon so I'm wondering why not order from garden grocer instead since more dependable? Any advantages to amazon?

We did a car service with a grocery stop during our latest trip in late January. Saved a lot of time and frustration. Might use amazon prime now in future but only in a real pinch.

We're planning to just get a Lyft/Uber to whatever grocery store is closest to BC, doing some quick shopping, then using another Lyft/Uber back to the resort. A car service with a grocery stop (BC to grocery store to BC) might work better? Thanks!

That was the first time we used his service but are using it on future trips. Really good if you have a lot of luggage and a big party. We were picked up and dropped off in a big van.

Thank you very much! I'll look into that We won't have luggage (it'll already be at BC) and we're only four people, but we're determined to get a few groceries LOL

It might be cheaper to do the Uber for your situation. We bought a lot of stuff at Publix (long stay) during the grocery stop and had 2 large pieces of luggage and several small pieces but a Uber XL might work for 4 people even if you purchase a lot of food and drink. I think many people use Tony to and from WDW and universal the airport, between WDW and universal, and for transport for a cruise. Contact Tony and he will provide a quote.

There is also a Speedway gas station across from the BW... I am not sure about Champagne but they do sell Barefoot wine not the greatest but has gotten popular lately... They do sell different kinds of beers and basic items like milk chips and likely some type of breakfast bars....

We have done a variety of ways to get our grocery items while staying at BWV.

We always get items from gardengrocer.com, so bulk of our items are all together. We will sometimes stop at a grocery store with our towncar service for fresh fruit and cold beer. Sometimes we stop at the speedway for cold beer.

We have used gardengrocer.com 10 times and have never had an issue. They might be a little more expensive, but the customer service has been exceptional.
