We have only one day to do IOA/Universal. It's Sun. Oct. 10, a holiday weekend. The park closes at 6 pm. I bought the FOTL pass cards. We have an 8 year old (55 inches and excited about being tall enough for Hulk, etc.) and a 4 year old.

Shrek and Jimmy Neutron aren't included in the FOTL, so I plan to be at Universal right at park opening and do those first. Then we'll do as much as we can until 1:30 and head to IOA until 6. But I think Universal is open until 7. Should we do IOA first and then Univeral to utilize that extra hour? IOA has more rides that we're interested in, but Universal has Animal Planet and Barney which I'm thinking will take more time since we're dependent on the show schedule.

Should we pretty much take each ride as we come to it or should we do the "must see" rides first and then circle the park a second time? At Universal the must see things are Animal Planet, Barney, Shrek, Jimmy Neutron, Feival, Woody's Coaster, MIB. The maybes are ET, Back to the Future, and Nick studios. At IOA we must do Spider Man, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, the Xmen teacup thing, One Fish Two Fish, and the Caro Seussel. We'd like to do everything else except Poseidon's Fury, Sinbad, and Dr. Doom, but we wouldn't be crushed if we missed them--we've been 3 times and we'll be back in a year.

Any suggestions on how best to make use of our time? TIA!!!!

If your 8yo is a Hulk fan, don't forget to add Mummy to the list. It's still hot enough here for the water rides, so plan accordingly if you want to include them. We have found Univ. to be small enough to get everything in easily. We are going back this morning to catch Anim.Planet and do Mummy "one more time."

Thanks! She's seen the Mummy commercials on TV and is afraid. She likes the speed of coasters, not the theming. She loves the water rides, but the little one doesn't, so that's why I thought we might skip them if time runs short.
