Hi -

My big Disney wedding trip is coming soon. I have a question about tickets. My MIL and SIL want to go to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom the Friday before our wedding - so two parks on one day. They are only wanting to go to the parks that day - no other days - wedding and other stuff going on the other days. I know that you can only buy a 4 or 5 day hopper pass, not a one day hopper pass. And you can buy a single day one park ticket. Are these the ONLY options for a trip like this? Or has someone found a way around this?? I guess they would go buy the 4 day hopper passes and have three days left, but I'm not sure they would go back. I would use them, but with all the money flying out the window right now - now is not a good time to stock up on Disney hopper passes!!! Thoughts????

Thanks!

Wow, that's a tough one. I don't believe there are any tickets that Disney sells that would suit your needs. Some people re-sell unused days on park hopper tickets, which is prohibited by Disney policy. In addition, you have no way of knowing for certain that the seller really has the days (or in your case day) available on the cards until you show up at the park and the pass either works or it doesn't.

Given your timeframe, I'm assuming you're talking about Friday, March 19th. I'm sure you already know that MK is open 9am until 8pm with Wishes showing at closing. AK should have early entry that day, so if you will be staying on-site, it would probably be doable to get a decent amount done in both parks (although it will be crowded due to spring break).

Sorry I can't give better advice, but you'll have to make some tough choices. Either convince them to do only one of the two parks or purchase "legal" park-hopper tickets and carry around unused days for some period of time.

Sometimes 3 day park hoppers are available, but you have to do some searching. Alamo (official rental car of WDW) sells a 3-day park hopper PLUS for $169.35. You can read more about it here: http://www.mousesavers.com/specwdwtix.html#short

Are your family members staying at a Disney resort? They might want to buy the Ultimate park hopper which allows park hopping from check-in to check-out. If they are staying 2 nights/3 days the cost would be $171.47 (advance purchase price)

Unfortunately, the most economical option will likely be purchasing 2 one-day one-park passes.

Perhaps your disney wedding planner might have some advice?

Thanks for the responses! I will look into the Alamo tickets - that's better than a 4 day hopper pass. Let me know if anyone else knows anything like that!!! Thanks!

If you're having your wedding AT Disney, talk to your Weddings planner, and I'll bet they could work something out.
