Breakfast is a really important meal to me on vacation (which is strange, because I never eat breakfast at home). But on vacation, I love waking up early and having a big breakfast and fresh-squeezed orange juice.

This year, our trip is scheduled and we will arrive on December 13th.

I have decide to splurge on the Deluxe Dining Plan, so we can have a table-service breakfast and dinner every day. It will be just me and DD (age 4). DH cannot take any time off from work.

We are staying at POFQ (a first for us!). I almost went with AKL. However, it was $100 more per night for standard view, and I would have had to sacrifice the dining plan (in fact, we probably would have only had money to share a couple of counterservice meals each day).

For those of you who have stayed at POFQ before, do you think I made the right choice? I have stayed at AKL (before my daughter was born), and I did love it and so would she. But I am excited about trying the French Quarter for the first time. We will not have a car, so we're relying on Disney transportation.

Anyway, here are my breakfast choices. I love omelette's and my daughter loves eggs and pancakes. I need to narrow this list from 15 breakfasts down to 8 breakfasts. Can anyone help? (CRT is out because I can not get reservations, but the others are available).

Chef Mickey's Character Breakfast
Hollywood & Vine Character Breakfast
1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast
Tusker House Character Breakfast
Boma
Crystal Palace
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Grand Floridian Cafe (I loved their eggs benedict back in the 90's)
Spoodle's (I love frittata's, but I have never been here before...)
Kona Cafe (thinking about that Tonga toast--don't they have that?)
House of Blues (Sunday Brunch--is it too loud for a 4 year old?)
Boatwright's Dining Hall
Olivia's (can I take the boat from POFQ?)
Cape May Cafe Character Breakfast
O'Hana's Character Breakfast

1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast I would do the Norway meal in Epcot instead. Its a girls trip, so do the princesses w/o Dad. Also this meal includes a photo, what a great keepsake for Mommy and baby girl. You'll already have GF with the GF Cafe Meal.

I would change CP to lunch or dinner if you want to add in one of the meals I've left off.

Crystal Palace is GREAT for b'fast - its buffet & all the Pooh charactesrs are there..

and the castle is another fun one - though its a preplated meal of eggs & hasbrown potaotes & muffins - but the atmosphere is AWESOME...

that's the only b'fast I've done

the crystal palace was the best place for b'fast..the food and service were great and the characters all came around and we had a great time

Breakfast is a very big deal to DH and I when we are on vacation because at home is it usually oatmeal and coffee ;)

Boma is the best breakfast ever, we just love this place and you can get made to order omelets. Tons of pictures in my Aug review.

Cape May is another amazing choice, the best bread pudding and very good biscuits and gravy, tons of pics in my April review.

We love Kona, the food is fantastic.

We just did Ohana last month and the food was incredible, all the Mickey waffles you can eat and the characters are fun

Crystal Palace has always been a hit with us, the food is consistantly great and it is a huge plus getting into the park super early

Your dining plans sound YUMMY!!

You asked about POFQ......yes, that is a good choice. The resort is small and has wonderful bus service, not to mention the boat ride to DTD.

Have fun!:yay:

Other DISers correct me if I'm wrong but haven't they discontinued characters at Liberty Tree Tavern?
