Please help! My ipod has lines on the screen!

My 5th gen. iPod nano has white lines going across the top of the screen, several sets of about 5-7 lines. I watch video podcasts and the lines really interfere with the picture. Has anyone ever had this problem? How can I fix it? I think that I have had the same problem before but I just can't remember the remedy. I would greatly appreciate any advice you may have. Thanks so much!

It sounds to me that you may have dead or dying screen. Dead pixels. Any recent drops, hard hits, or pressures can be the cause of this. One thing I see with many problems like this is people who wear tighter pants when they sit down their pocket pulls on their iPod and puts a great amount of pressure on it. If you are still under warranty than apple with replace it or if not than you can pay to have it fixed or just leave it. The choice is up to you. Good luck!

Oh no!!! Thanks so much for your info. I'll try taking it to the Apple store this weekend. It's probably time for a new one. Ugh.

I think they are right, but you could try to reset it to see if that may help.
