Hi all,

We are quite familiar with BWV but have never had a Preferred (I think that's what it's called) view. We have almost always had a boardwalk view (which we will GREATLY miss). Just curious what the options were for the preferred view. Is the Village Green area considered preferred view? We are looking for a room near the lobby/elevator (my parents will be with us and they are in their 70's) that has afternoon/early evening shade. Can you catch any glimpses of fireworks from a village green view? Any other ideas? Does anybody have a brief rundown of the various options? We will only be going to the parks 2 days and for my folks it will almost always be EPCOT.

Thanks for your input!

Village Green is preferred view and you can possibly see upper level fireworks but the area has only studios and I assume you have something larger.

If avoiding long walks is an issue you can request close to elevator which would give you a Luna park (main pool) view and I suggest if you do that you request high floor. Unfortunately, most preferred rooms (other than Village Green) face west or southwest and you are likely to have the sun in the afternoon.

Oh, that's a bummer. That would have been an ideal location for us. We are in a 2 bedroom. Is the Luna pool pretty noisy? It looks like that is the only location that is close to the main lobby.

Luna Park: some noise but little after five and hardly anything if upper floor.

Quietest areas are rooms overlooking quiet pool and those overlooking the activity lawn but you still get intermittent boat horns and those are the rooms that are a distance from the elevator.

I may be wrong but I believe Pref View faces either the pools or canal (facing HS or Swan and Dolp). We were overlooking Swan and Dolphin on the 5th floor in January. We are going back in Feb and I requested same area BUT 1st or 2nd floor. 1st floor you could walk out right onto the canal or pool OR directly to the Boardwalk. If you are on the 2nd floor that is the main floor which may be easier on your parents.

There is a thread that has what specific room faces what view. I will try to find and send you a PM. If I can't find it, I would search BWV View and something more specific should come up.

Hope this helps...good luck!
