Please help me with my daily plans

I have not been to the park since pre-COVID times, before Genie+/LL so I want to make sure my assumptions are sound.

I used to plan a park day meticulously--like almost to the minute--using touringplans.com and other sites. I just think now with LL and ILL and virtual ques and not knowing what return times will be, the plans I make have to be much looser, more generalized and flexible. That said, I did still micromanage these plans a bit. Let me know if anything I put in here doesn't make sense, because there are entirely too many things to remember about Disney these days.

All days will use LL, virtual ques for Tron and Guardians and paid ILL for Rise of the Resistance and 7DMT. (I am not paying extra for an ILL for Tron, but if I don't get in a que for Guardians I might end up buying ILL for that.)

A couple of notes:
-I may be misinterpreting you here, but I wouldn’t wait to book to make sure a LL is post-dinner. You can modify the time to and still start the 2 hr clock.
-You can book your second at HS at 10:30 (though I think you’ll be able to book your first LL early and swipe in before then).
-It’s possible JC is sold out by the afternoon. May want to prioritize that one for earlier if important to you. Or just keep an eye out if it does sell out to see if it opens up again.
-I would maybe book the 7DMT ILL earlier. Not sure if they sell out, but you’ll have more options if you book earlier in the day.

I was looking at 7DMT return times on Tuesday and they were really quick, but just checking the app today and an ILL return time is 7 hours out! It must have just been a Tuesday vs. Friday thing but still pretty wild difference. Thanks again!!!

You can buy your SDMT ILL at park opening (since I don’t think you are on-site), and when you buy and ILL, it allows you to select your return window. No need to wait to buy it.

Also, I’m going to suggest buying the ILL for Tron. It is a big expense, but I found it made it much easier to have structure to your day than waiting for the return time. I spent more time than I wanted looking to see what group was called and worrying when our time would be up. Plus, doing the VQ, it took an hour. Using the ILL, it was 15 minutes.

I was really excited for Tron before it opened, but after watching youtube videos from people who have ridden it my enthusiasm has definitely waned. I just can't say its worth $80 for my family of four to buy the ILL. I was assuming VQ would be 30--60 minutes and that is an acceptable wait for us to ride a mid-tier coaster experience.

Thanks for the notes on 7DMT. I honestly didn't know you could select your own return window, that makes a world of difference. I thought the app would assign you a return time.

Just a note that PhilarMagic is closed during MNSSHP hours so try to do it on your MK day or between 4-6 before the official party
