WE have ADRs for both restaurants for both BF and Dinner. I can't seem to give up any of them but I don't think it makes sense to eat there for four meals when there are so many other places to eat. I will say, however, that they are schedule around our time in MK so they will be convenient to get to. I was planning on doing OOP at Kona Bf and sharing (I want to try to Tonga toast, which i know I can at their CS Capt cooks, but I also heard great things about the macademia nut pancakes???), but we would be using our TS credits for the other three meals there. What do you all think? Should I keep them, and if not, which one would you get rid of (I def. want to keep at least one meal at each, and since IM doing OOP for BF, I really just need to ditch one meal). So what's your vote:

Ohana BF
Ohana Dinner
Kona Dinner

Do you think the Kona dinner and Ohana dinner will be extremely simiilar, despite the more lively atmosphere at Ohana?

Not sure if I'm qualified to comment since I've only been to Kona for breakfast. Based on that one meal, I'm not eager to return to Kona. We did not have Tonga Toast or the Pineapple Pancakes, so perhaps we just chose poorly. I found the atmosphere to be Denny's-like, and the food to be slightly sub-Denny's. I had the omelet. It was ok. The home-fried potatoes were barely fried - mushy and bland. My husband had eggs over-easy. They were ok. My daughter had "Mickey shaped pancakes", which was actually 3 pancakes, with two being placed slightly above the middle one to represent ears. They were dry. The pressed pot coffee was nice. We went REALLY early, so maybe the food quality gets better as the morning goes on?

Kona's dinner menu is appealing and I see lots of good reviews of meals there. I guess I'm not inclined to try it based on the atmosphere.

I would get rid of the Ohana dinner. We just ate there on Wednesday, September 2. It was the worst meal of our trip. The meat was dry and overcooked. However, we ate at Kona Cafe for lunch on Tuesday, Sept 1. It was our favorite meal of the trip (including LeCellier). My husband ordered the fish tacos and they were fantastic. My twelve year old daughter also really liked them. I had the Asian chopped chicken salad and my daughter ordererd the stir fried asian noodles with chicken. Everything was delicious.

like i've said before - I'd go with Kona and dinner! YUM!

Kona and breakfast like you have thought may be difficult to get to - and it is breakfast - Ohana Dinner gets mixed reviews - but my experience has been blech! (been there 3 times, one for a Grand Gathering - its the people that make the meal!)
