Guests are bringing white chicken chili, pigs in blankets, chex mix, and birthday cake. Veggie tray? Is it redundant to buy chips when someone is bringing chex mix? What else?

I would totally do a veggie and/or fruit tray with a dip...ranch for veggies and maybe yougurt dip for fruit..super fast and easy rotel dip with velvetta and chips..

We are serving Mean Green Chicken Tortilla soup (it's a Rachael Ray one I've been doing for a couple of years) in honor of the Packers....chili, veggie tray, cookies, brownies and I think that's enough if no one brought anything. Pretty sure the guys will bring over snack foods.

I'm doing the pamper chef chicken ring thingie...never cooked one before, we'll see how it goes. Also doing a small bag of hot wings, chips and baby carrots with bacon dip, cocktail barbeque lil' smokies and a whatever junk in freezer the kids want to cook up.

Ours is a combo Superbowl/Birthday party. We are having:

Apps: little pizzas, buffalo chicken wings, a pretzel tray, pigs in a blanket, a taco dip w/ tortilla chips, veggie straws.

Dinner: penne w/ vodka sauce, fried chicken, a spiral ham, chili, & caesar salad.

Dessert: cake, ice cream. & football cookies.

Don't get too many chips...I feel like I always end put throwing a lot of them away after a party.:)

Why not soft pretzels with a couple different types of mustard? You can just get the ones from the grocery store, or you can home make them! Yummmmmmy! But, for those people who aren't big fans of Chex Mix, chips should be just fine. What about nachos?

I would prefer chips to chex mix and know most people in my circle feel the same. How about some potato skins, mozzarella sticks or stuffed mushrooms? How about fruit skewers? Or chocolate covered strawberries?
