Please help me reduce floral/decor bill

I was a DIY bride. I used very little floral because IMO, the prices are just too high.

I bought silk flowers, that were ridiculously real feeling and looking. Here is the person I used: http://plumeriasweddingflowerboutique.com/ (I'm the first bride on the homepage :goodvibes)

I also made my own centerpieces using seashells and planters. Check out my link below for the wedding pics if you like!

My aunt made petal cones for the toss, and we bought the flowers from a local store and filled them. Saved ALOT of $$!

The only thing I got from Disney were the two floral arrangements for the alter. We were having an outdoor wedding so I had to go with that.

I wish you luck with all of your decisions!

ALso, if you just do the 9'' cylinders with a single color gel in them without the confetti it is $7.50 each x 6 = $45 instead of $72. It's not a lot but every little bit helps.

Or if you are serious about cutting more... you could do brightly colored petals on the tables at $5 ea. It would look cool against black table linens which are free.

Just wanted to wish you luck cutting your costs Hayley.:goodvibes That is a huge amount of money so a few cuts here and there make sense.

You will have a beautiful day no matter what you spend on floral/decor.:thumbsup2

Hi all, just a quick update. We've managed to get the bill down to $1500 which is a MUCH better number for us! Having a look at outside vendors for the centerpieces as Disney do not seem to be very forthcoming in offering the $75 suggestions :sad2: and keep showing us other styles at $150+! I've taken off all the rose petals and have bought silk ones instead from Ebay. Have removed the castle confetti and replaced with acrylic scatter crystals also from Ebay. We've taken off the chocolate favours as they will no doubt melt in the September heat anyway. The aisle runner is GONE haha. The bubbles have also been removed and I will buy the ones from Walmart for $10. The $75 bouquet cost - APPARENTLY a typo on Disney's part AHEM!;) All in all I'm happy with the cost now but think we can shave a few more $s off here and there. Thanks all for your help!
