We're heading to Universal tommow, 12/31 after spending yesterday at IOA. My husband asked a TM aboout opening time and he said they are not opening early despite the crowds.

If this is true, we'll just show up at nine though we'd be happy to set our alarms and get up at the crack of dawn.

I would try to be there around 8:30 or 8:45 so you can beat some of the people coming in...get your place in line. It might save you some time.
