Please help me plan a "Suite Splurge"

Garden suite at BWI. So quiet and quaint. Plus you have the FANTASTIC preplanning and lounge team. They are the best. I've also pulled up numbers for these on the AAA website and noticed they were discounted. When we stayed in one this past October we paid rack thinking the suites couldn't be discounted. We loved them so much we are renting 3 of them for our family members (and ourselved) after our Disney vow renewal in July.

My other choice would be the honeymoon turret suites at the Grand with a wall of windows (but no balcony). You'd also have the Royal Palm Club lounge nearby and the orchestra playing at night. These rooms come up as deluxe concierge rooms king and can also be had w/AAA or AP discounts.

I also love the Poly and we are staying there as well in July (went all out and booked the King K suite for 3 nights!) It is relaxing and romantic too but w/more families w/kids than the other 2 more quiet areas.

You really can't go wrong w/any of the choices. By the way, we just got back from a split 2nt BWI 2nt GF platinum plan and it was an amazing splurge (for hubby's 40th.) We had massages, more food than we could eat (including Victoria and Alberts), fireworks cruises, parasailing, 4 behind the scenes tours and other things we'll have to wait until next time for. let me know if I can help and happy planning!

Well, for something completely different . . . they have some suites over at Coronado Springs! I think this resort is absolutely beautiful at night! You could stroll around the lake, and visit the temple pool, that is lit up in the evening. You could have a nice dinner at Maya Grill, too.

Just thought I'd throw that one out there in case the other options are all booked.

My first choice would have been AKL, but the construction would surely be a problem for you.

We just stayed concierge level at The Grand Floridian in April and loved it! :thumbsup2

I must say that your wife is one lucky lady that you are trying to find something special to do for your anniversary! Our 20th is in June and there is no way dh would even think to do anything like that! (he forgot our anniversary last year) If I want to do or go someplace special I will need to plan and book it myself. And yes, that *is* a whine! :rolleyes1

...and it isn't the most glamorous one BUT we're only two years away from Anniversary #40...

This time, we're going to upgrade to a Swan Studio Suite for our last two nights. The room is L-shaped with 500 sq ft, has 3 large windows plus a balcony with views in three directions. I requested an upper floor and an Illuminations view. Even with TWO nights in the Swan Suite at the Teacher's Rate, there will be $$$ left over for a dinner at CG (we've never been there before) and more!

Both a Garden Suite at BWI and a Lagoon View Concierge room at Poly WERE available...but with NO discounts available at all they were just a bit over the top...this time.

Thanks for your great ideas...I'm filing them away for "next time".
