I am torn between the last week of Food and Wine 11/5 - 11/13 or the week after Thanksgiving. It has been a few years since our last visit to F & W. We have been to Disney the week after Thanksgiving a few times but the weather can be hit or miss. I do love all the decorations and MVMCP and all the Holiday events. I have read that MVMCP has been very crowd this year. I also noticed that this year they offered MVMCP during the last week of F & W and the Osbourne Lights started Nov. 8th. Do you think that they will do that again next year? I also worry that with Vetrans Day and Jersey week it could be very crowd. I love the idea of better weather but part of me thinks I want all the decorations and holiday events. Please help me pick. Thanks everyone !!!!!

IMO, the Wine & Food Fest. is a must see.:cool1::banana:

I already booked BWV for the last week of F&W. I am just really hoping that they run MVMCP and Osborne lights that week. I asked my DH which events/time he liked better and he said F&W. I wonder when Disney will post the dates for MVMCP.

If you are super into the holidays; Disney does Christmas at 100%. If you will be disappointed without the decor/parties I would follow your heart.

If you are okay either way do with F and W. The week after Thanksgiving is usually very slow so you will have tons of time to enjoy the park.

My parents went this year from 11/12 - 11/17. The Christmas decorations were already up, they got to go to F&W and enjoy MVMCP and the weather was great. I vote then!:goodvibes

Do you think it will be really crowd the last week of F&W due to Jersey week and Veterans Day holiday? When do you think the dates for MVMCP will be out? Thanks !!!!!

I can tell you that if you are going to fly, the week after Thanksgiving will be a very expensive flight. We paid about $100 more per ticket on the discount airline to fly in the Monday after Thanksgiving when compared to the normal cost of a flight to the MCO. It was even more expensive when we looked at going down on Sunday and adding a day to the trip.

Honestly, the Christmas decorations were not as impressive this year as I was expecting. This was our first Holiday trip and the Osborne lights were excellent everything else seemed to fall a little short. Maybe my expectations were a little higher than they should have been.

The holidays are wonderful to see and the weather is nice during Food and Wine.

It has been very crowded the last couple of years after Thanksgiving.

We were just there for F & W from 10/31-11/7. F & W ended 11/14. It was Jersey Week when we were there and didn't notice an increase in crowd levels. It was great. I understand that the following week was better crowd-wise. F & W is outstanding, enjoy it! :goodvibes

Have to agree about the decorations, compared to previous years, they have cut back. I really miss the Winter Lights at Epcot and each resort, other than the Grand Floridian have really scaled back.

Thanks everyone !!!!!
My DH wants F&W and I really love evrything Christmas. It has been a few years since we attended the F&W so I think we should try that next year. It would be perfect if the Osborne Lights and MVMCP was held the last week of F&W like this year but I guess I have to just wait and cross my fingers !!! I think I will need some pixie dust :rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks again !!!!
