Please help me pick my hotel.

Thank you for this thread! We are booked at Grand Californian for 3 nights in August, but are looking for a place to stay our first night.
We want to get into the parks early the next day, and are trying to figure out our best plan to get over to Grand's Bell Services with our luggage before heading into the park. Right now, we have Anaheim Majestic Garden booked, but will that be too much to walk with our luggage (assuming that taking out luggage on the shuttle would be frowned upon)? No car for this trip (and our son's first visit to DL! SO excited!)

IMO that would be too long a walk (~20min) especially with kids in tow. I would simply plan to uber to the grand in the am. Any other option would either have you schleping your luggage through security or a decent walk.

I'm going to second this. We stayed there in June and loved it. The breakfast is hot, with eggs and bacon etc. If not here, I might pick the Tropicana just because it's so close. We've stayed at Candy Cane and Hojo and they're both nice but I loved that right across the street walk. (BW was like 2.5 minutes, and I think Tropicana is under 5.)
Do you recall when breakfast starts at BW Anaheim Inn? Wondering if it's possible to eat and still get to the parks stupid early for rope drop.

Sorry, I don't remember. But we did rope drop while we were there, so it was on the early side. 6:30 or 7? You could call and ask, they have great customer service.

We have stayed at Grand Cal, and Paradise Pier, and The Fairfield twice. We are staying at the Tropicana for our up coming trip in May for the proximity and as we have heard really good things about the motel. We love staying on site but the prices are sadly INSANE right now lol and I have alot of Star Wars merch to buy hehe.
