18th - husbands bday - Fantasmic at H&V (around 4:30 or so)
19th - Garden Grill (heard you can see Illuminations there too) - what time should I get ressie's for???
20th - Liberty Tree (dinner) - again what time and is there anything we should see?
21st - sons 4th bday - dinner at Chef Mickeys and then watch fireworks (is this correct)
22nd - Crystal Palace - lunch
23rd - MNSSHP - where to eat and what time???
24th -
25th -
26th -

Would like to do a princess character meal or something like that. Also, would like to do a nice steak dinner and a seafood dinner. THanks everyone in advance. I am up for any thoughts or ideas.

Thank you again - Jenn

I would add 'Ohana's or Kona on one of the days. For steak maybe Le Cellier if you are at Epcot on one of the days. For Princess you could do the castle lunch maybe or 1900 Fair Park and there is also one at Epcot in Norway. Go to www.allearsnet.com to see a list of restaurants and menu items, that might help.

i would suggest 1900 park fare they have alice in wonderland characters there and i heard that dinner there are princesses??

as for hv for fantasmic not such a good place for dinner i would try to do mm or bd
le cellier would be ok
biergarten also
crystal palace is good one that you choose
tonys is also good in mk

Apparently there is a nice princess dinner/lunch at Askerhaus (sp?) in Norway. My sister took my niece there, and she loved it. Also, there is Cinderella's Royal Table, which is actually in the Castle at MK, but I've heard those ADR's are nearly impossible to get. For steak, you won't do better than Le Cellier at the Canada pavillion in Epcot. If you are looking for more of a seafood, steak combination, you should really look into the Coral Reef at Epcot's Living Seas. They offer steak and a variety of seafood, as well as pretty cooll atmosphere (sitting among aquariums, watching the fish swim around as you eat... fish).

Also, I may be wrong about this, but I dont think you can see Illuminations from Garden Grill. I've never eaten there personally, but the resturant is inside the Land pavillion, and I dont recall there being any sort of balcony. If you want to have a dinner and be able to see Illuminations, your best bet is to try some place in World Showcase. The viewing is best in that part of the park, and there are many resturants with patios which can offer some really nice views of the show.

Good luck!

I would recommend O'hanas for dinner. check out allearsnet.com for the menu. Its served family style and they just keep bringing meats on skewers until you either burst or have sense to say no more! Its a fun atmosphere for the kids and adults too.

Cinderellas Castle has breakfast, lunch and dinner. No characters at dinner from what I have read. I haven't been yet but have my ADRs for sept!

I've read great things about the 1900 Park Fare dinner which also has Cindy.

Have a great time!

I have heard wonderful things about the Princess Meal in Norway and that it is not as difficult to get as Cinderella's Royal table.. might look into that one.

If you like Italian food and want some fun for an evening meal, I would try Alfredo's in Epcot....we had a blast with the accordian player and everyone singing.. food was good too.

Here's a list of where one might find specific characters at certain restaurants, so you can decide where to go for princesses.
http://www.allearsnet.com/din/cbchar.htm

You can't see Illuminations from the Garden Grill--it's indoors and not on the lagoon for good viewing anyway. Rose and Crown Dining Room and Cantina San Angel are good places to eat and see the fireworks, but the cantina is counter service so no ADRs there. Illuminations is scheduled for 9pm that night.

The campfire with Chip and Dale is described here:
Go to Fort Wilderness for the campfire/sing-along, nightly at 7pm behind the Meadow Trading Post. Movie begins approximately 7:40pm. A Disney classic movie follows the sing-along. Chip and Dale usually make an appearance. The Fort Wilderness staff will provide a campfire; bring your marshmallows, hot dogs and sticks if you have them. If not, marshmallows and sticks are available for purchase at $2 for 2 sticks and plenty of marshmallows; $5 for a s'more kit. The movie shown is different each night of the week. In the event of inclement weather, a "Porch Jam" sing-a-long will take place at the Ol' Meadow Swimmin' Hole. Movie & Sing-a-Long free of charge. Note: All movies & characters are outside! Campfire Show is held nightly if weather permits.

Hoop Dee Doo lasts about two hours.

I'm not sure where you go at the Contemporary so you can see the Wishes fireworks after eating at Chef Mickey's. I have only seen the MK fireworks from outside the park at the Polynesian. Also, I don't know what restaurants are open for the Halloween party in MK, since I've never been to it. I'm sure someone can recommend a place for you. Maybe you can do Liberty Tree Tavern that day! :)

Happy planning! :sunny:

For Great steaks/meals you can do Le Cellier in Canada (Epcot)... You can check out their menu on allearsnet website..Been there before and going back.

*Birthdays* Saw a link someplace on this..maybe allears that said to go to
?City Hall in MK? Guest services at other parks for a "its my birthday pin" to wear.. I guess cast members make something special of it.. It also said to tell your server if its a b-day.. You may want to check allears website for more info.

First let me say HAPPY Celebrations to your family.
What a wonderful way to celebrate events at WDW.

Suggestions - go to Town Halll in MK and get birthday buttons for the birthday people in your group. Have the birthday person wear their button on their birthday day. Magic happens.

When you make your ADR's - if it is a celebration meal - tell the CM when you are making the ADR. At certain restaurants they decorate the table with Mickey confetti, may give you a card signed by characters and a cupcake with a candle (yes even at breakfast at Cindy's)

Meals:
17th - Hoop Dee Doo around 5:15 show and then heard there is a bon fire to watch with chip and dale and have smores - Celebrate your Anniversary at the HDD. They will annouce yours with the other birthdays and anniversaries. You may even get picked to participate in the show :)

18th - husbands bday - Fantasmic at H&V (around 4:30 or so) - When you make the ADR for H&V, mention it's your DH birthday.

19th - Garden Grill (heard you can see Illuminations there too) - what time should I get ressie's for??? - Have dinner around 6 PM then walk over towards World Showcase - How about celebrating your DD's birthday here ?

20th - Liberty Tree (dinner) - again what time and is there anything we should see? - Great place for a Thanksgiving dinner - we go at 5:30 PM to be seated bhy 6 PM. There may be a parade in the evening when it gets dark, check with the MK board schedule for times.

21st - sons 4th bday - dinner at Chef Mickeys and then watch fireworks (is this correct) -After Chef Mickeys go to the beach at the MK, Poly, WL or monorail to MK - stand up by the WDW railroad and enjoy the view of the fireworks.

22nd - Crystal Palace - lunch - yum, your family will love the Pooh and friends characters

23rd - MNSSHP - where to eat and what time??? Find a reasort your would like - 1900 Park Fair @ GF for an early dinner - 5:30 PM

24th - Coral Reef lunch (less expensive than dinner) - fun for the kids to see the fish in the tanks

25th - 'Ohana breakfast at the Poly - Lilo & Stitch - and then go to MK

26th - Last meal - Whispering Canyon @ WL is fun if you like Bar-b-q, LeCellier in EPCOT has great steaks, Cindy's in MK for breakfast or lunch is fun, Cape May Buffet in Y/BC lets kids color on the paper table clothes (bring your own crayons), 50's Prime Time for lunch in MGM Studio's will have your family laughing - Eat your last the sit down meal based on what Park you wish to visit and what resort you are staying at.

The above are just our suggestions.
Definitely check out the menu's on Deb Will's web-site.
http://www.allearsnet.com/din/dining.htm
See what your family will eat and how much you want to spend.

A few thoughts, and not sure where you are staying.

I would switch LTT to the MNSSHP night. If it works like the Christmas Party, time it so you are eating while they are throwing everyone else out. It is nice to walk out and have the place practically to yourself. Plus it is similiar to Garden Grill's food and you would be doing that the next night.

The night you have LTT now i would do O'hana in the Polynesian. It is just a short monorail ride from Magic Kingdom and a fun family atmosphere.

Seafood, maybe Narcooses at GF or Coral Reef in Epcot. Coral would be fun for your son because one side of the restaurant is a wall of glass for a giant aquarium view, the other side of living seas. If you want higher end seafood go to Flying Fish.

If you really wanted to treat your husband right, i would take him to Brown Derby in MGM instead of H&V. They do have a fantasmic package, it's family friendly and oh so much better. I would want my birthday there.

ok made ressie's and here is what i got :

17th Hoop Dee Doo 5:00
18th Fantasmic H&V 4:30
19th Mickeys Backyard BBQ 6:30
20th Le Celliers 6pm
21st Chef Mickey 5pm sons 4th bday
22nd - Crystal Palace Lunch
23rd - Liberty Tree 4:30 then hopefully MNSSHP
24th - Coral Reef lunch (my son will love it)
25th
26th

whatcha think???? what last night thing should we do???

How about a Downtown Disney Restaurant? We always like to do DTD on our last day. Get some shopping in while were at it. Wolfgang Pucks, Raglan Road, Planet Hollywood are all good. If you want to go Light fare, The Earl of Sandwich is my favorite.

Jane

what kind of food is o'hana's??? thinking about that for the 25th and then downtown disney sounds great for the 26th.

do you think mickey's backyard bbq is worth it??? will the kids like it (4 and 1)????

y'all are great!!!

* Hoop Dee Doo will be a very fun first night! And definitely try to make it to the campfire at FW - Chip & Dale will be there, & the campfire & marshmallows & movie are great! While you're at FW, be sure to watch the Electrical Water Parade from the FW beach that night too!

* We ate at H & V last May for our FDP, & my DH hated it. It's the 1 restaurant he said to which he'd never go back. The restaurant is very noisy & very crowded - the tables were so close together I felt we were eating w/ the people next to us. The buffet selections were "okay" - nothing wonderful, and some of the items looked dried out. DH felt sick after eating there. That being said, however, we could have just been there on an "off" night, so take my opinion w/ a grain of salt. However, if you're looking for something "special" for your DH since it's his b-day, you might consider going some place else. This year, we're trying Mama Melrose's for our FDP.

* Le Cellier gets rave reviews!! It's on my list of places to try; however, this year, for our World Showcase restaurant, we're eating at San Angel Inn.

* Since you're already doing Hoop Dee Doo (& possibly the campfire) at Fort Wilderness, I wouldn't also do Mickey's Backyard BBQ. We've never tried it, but many of the reviews are only "so-so". Maybe look at the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge... or Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge...

* Chef Mickey's is a PERFECT b-day dinner for your son!! And a very fun restaurant!

* We love Crystal Palace for lunch! The buffet is wonderful!

* We also love Liberty Tree Tavern! It's our traditional "first night" dinner. The characters are great! The Declaration Salad is so yummy! We've never been during MNSSHP, but I think the characters are in Halloween costumes. Great choice for your MNSSHP night!

* Coral Reef is also on my list of places to try next year! I'm sure your son will adore it!

* For your last night, maybe try some place like 'Ohana - great food w/ lovely views of the castle. Your son might also like to participate in the hula hoop races. You could either time your dinner to coincide w/ Wishes or, after dinner, you could walk out to the beach at the Poly & watch the fireworks - perfect for your last evening!

If you haven't check out the menu's at http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

O'Hana is all you can eat served family style, they bring out big plates of food for your table. Wonton chips with sauces, greens salad, peel and eat shrimp, sweet chicken wings, potatoes, mixed veggies. Then they bring out skewers of beef, turkey, pork and sausage. The sausage tasted more like hot dogs but the kids loved them. I think they also have some kid things they can bring out. They finish with a banana foster bread pudding. All the while they have someone conducting races and dances for the kids to participate.

The Brown Derby is based on the Hollywood BD. It is in MGM theme park. It is kind of a mix in that it's one of the few places that you can get a great meal that has some fancy touches to it, but not have to dress up or leave the kids somewhere. You might look in and be put off because it looks very nice, but people are there in their theme park clothes and no problem with children. We were there with my brothers children ages 7, 3, and 1 with no problems, noisy enough to not notice a flare up either. My filet was as good or better than Yachtsman Steakhouse, way better than Le Cellier. They have a kids menu also. Super desserts too. Our party of 10 everyone loved it. I have eaten at every place in MGM and this is our favorite.
