Looking for an east coast beachfront hotel suite. Preferably NC, SC, or GA beachfront hotel, but will take suggestions for anywhere on east coast (as long as on a beach).

I don't want an Air BnB or VRBO, because I want the luxury of canceling 48 hours out.

I am familiar with Residence Inn beachfront in Myrtle Beach, SC. And also Holiday Inn Suites in Ocean City, MD.

We need a separate room so we can work from hotel. So two rooms needed and a kitchen or kitchenette is also needed.

Any tips?

Try Embassy Suites (Hilton). They have some "studio suites," but most of their suites are one- or two-bedroom with completely separate rooms. Every one of their rooms has a specific work area.

Stays at Embassy Suites also include free breakfast and an evening reception with free cocktails and snacks.

Diamond Resorts is one of my favorites for hotel condos. It's a time share, but you can rent rooms like a hotel. I absolutely loved staying at their Boardwalk Resort and Villas last year in Virginia Beach. They have tons of other beach locations.

Edit: More info. You can get condos with full kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms, multiple bathrooms, 1 or more bedrooms. Stayed with my parents and sibling's family in a 4 bedroom 2 story condo once, that was awesome.

Embassy's units do not have full kitchens, but they each have a wet bar, small refrigerator, and microwave. There is also onsite dining at each property.

I can't recommend East Coast. Yet if you're not super glued to the location, West Coast beachfront immediate beach access, 1-2 bedroom suites, up to 3 beds, kitchen/kitchenette, would be The Hallmark Resort at Newport, OR and Cannon Beach, OR. Highly recommend.

Good suggestion, and all of the big timeshare companies (Hilton, Marriott, Wyndham, Bluegreen, etc) also rent out villas directly.

I should have added that Florida is out, because we are going in January. But I am glad I didn't say that, because I am very interested in this St. Augustine location for a stop in January. Thank you!!

Oooh! These look good. Do we have to sit in on a presentation? Or do they hound you in the lobby?

New beautiful one on the beach in St. Augustine, FL not far from the Georgia border.

DVC also rents out timeshares, and they have two on the East Coast -- Vero Beach and Hilton Head, SC. I don't think the Hilton Head property is directly on the beach, but I believe they do have a beach access with shuttle service.

Also if you are interested in one of the DVC properties, check the DIS DVC Rental board!

The Embassy Suite @HopperFan mentioned on St Augustine Beach is really nice and VERY conveniently located. We just stayed down the street from it in June.

Ah yes I am in Hilton Head right now that would be a great option / location. It is not on the beach but on the intercoastal and quite cozy community with beach shuttle. But if working trip, might not be as big an issue. It is walking distance to many shops, restaurants and grocery store.

Also as far as St. Augustine, I wouldn't worry about a full kitchen (although I can pull off some meals in an Embassy Suites) because SA is a foodie town with so many great eats, I'd be eating out bringing leftovers home to reheat.

As far as Hilton Head, Marriott has their Grande Ocean resort there which is beachfront as well as one in Myrtle Beach. Sheraton also some timeshares you can book in Myrtle Beach but not sure if they are beachfront.

Amelia Island has The Villas of Amelia Island.

I would search on TripAdvisor for beachfront hotels in places you are interested in going. Hope this helps!

Thank you! I saved these in my travel favorites.

Marriott actually has 6 or 7 resorts on HHI. Barony, Surf Watch and Grand Ocean are ocean front. There are at least 3 others that are on the intercostal. They are all 2 bedrooms minimum with Surf Watch having 3 bedrooms also. That's in addition to Marriott hotels that dot the island. They also have a resort near Myrtle Beach called Grand Dunes. I'm sure they can be booked for cash from their web site. They'd be listed in the pull down under vacation club villas, I believe.

The Sheraton is not beach front but it's a really nice resort.

It may be too low on the radar for this forum's demographic but we always stay at Dayton House. They may have a few single rooms but the south building we are always in is all 2 room suites.

This year we had to go with our alternative due to vacancy, Monterrey Bay Suites, but since getting to stay there, it's gone below my radar as well.

Saving these for future reference! Thank you.
