Please Help Me Fill Out These Docs!!!!

OK, I have a question about the kid's docs. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I want to make sure I have EVERYTHING filled out that I need to so we can get thru checkin quickly.

Do I need to fill out the PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION FORM for the kid's docs or do I just fill out mine?

For the CRUISE EMBARKATION FORM do I enter that DS is traveling with minor children? It askes if he is the legal guardian so that makes me question it.

You do not have to fill out their authorization for to charge if they will not have charging privelages. As for your DS traveling with minor children, is he their father? Will their mother not be going with them? If he is the father and the mother WILL NOT be going, then she needs to sign the form ans have it notorized that he can take them out of the country. If he is NOT their father, both of their parents need to sign form and have it notorized. If he IS their father, and their mother will be going, they don't need to do anything.... Hope that was not too confusing... I am traveling with my 5 year old nephew, so I am going through some of this.

DS is 5 and DD is 3. They don't have any kids of their own so I just leave that blank then? My DH & I are both traveling with them.

Lisa, congrats on the documents! Doesn't it ratchet that excitement up ONE MORE NOTCH!? As if we needed it!

I laughed when I read your question, because I knew the question would be answered the way it was.

You don't have to put the charge number on the kids docs, but even if you don't put it on the docs, you will need to go to guest services to remove charging priviledges. They offer the line on each ticket in case people have multiple credit cards. But in the absence of a different card, the main card is authorized on all KTTWs. I know that I wouldn't want to see the smoothie bill if my kids had charging privileges!!

As far as the charge card stuff, only DH or DW needs it filled in (ie only one visa/mastercard) that will work for everyone untill you get the kids charging privledges turned off at guest services on the ship. I don't know why they can't turn them off when you check in but you can't.

The part of the documents that I always have a hard time filling out is the last section on where DCL needs to send me the bill in case the ship sinks OK so it doesn't really say that but it does say that if anything bad happens on the ship, to the ship that it's not their fault, and it may be my fault. Since I really really enjoy crusing on the Magic, I have signed that part of the documents every time.

My brother who is divorced from his wife boarded with his two children and he didn't have to do anything special with the documents such as have them notorized. He even resides in a different country than they do. Hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe someone wasn't checking closely enough.
